Post Hurricane Insurance Claim Tips: 1. Keep all receipts for hotels, dining out, rental car to support loss of use/ALE claim. 2. Be wary of contractors soliciting door-to-door. 3. Less is more when speaking to adjusters/cat adjusters. They are looking to pounce on policy exclusions/limitations. 4. Reduce your communications to writing with your carrier. Phone calls don’t tell the story after the fact.
