About us

Founded in 1886, by John Gallin, an Irish immigrant, his mission was to leave a legacy of high-level construction services that would transcend the industry and be sustained by his family for future generations. On our 135th year, John Gallin & Son is still run by the Gallin family, now in its fourth generation of management. Gallin continues to provide quality, cost-effective commercial interior construction management and general contracting services throughout the NYC Metro Area. Gallin distinguishes itself from its competitors by engaging in a highly collaborative work style, promoting safer job sites, implementing environmentally responsible construction practices and by building relationships that span decades..

  • On National First Responders Day, we shine a light on the brave, selfless people who put their lives on the line for all of us every day. To the police officers, firefighters, paramedics and EMTs… To the dispatchers, doctors, nurses, and volunteers who rush to the scene when we are in need… Thank you.

  • HelloFriday! HelloFall! HelloFresh! For Fun Fact Friday we’re looking at HelloFresh, one of our most eclectic buildouts. Right in the middle of their beautiful offices at 28 Liberty Street, Gallin built an oversized commercial kitchen where chefs experiment with new recipes. This being harvest season, they’re probably cooking up a delicious menu of fall fruits and vegetables right now!

  • Gallin built out a large, elegant, open-plan office for Smith, one of the world’s leading distributors of semiconductor and electronic components. Working with plans from the architects at Vocon, the sweeping design takes full advantage of the breathtaking views seen from the 45th floor at 1 Penn Plaza. The central work area is flooded with brilliant light from all sides. A large eat-in pantry with sleek cabinetry does double-duty as a place to relax or work. Wooden floors gleam below exposed ceilings featuring acoustical spray and oval ductwork. Other highlights include a spacious conference room, a comfortable lounge area, private phone rooms, and a built-in fish tank behind the reception desk. Additional work was done on the elevator lobby, restrooms, and service corridors for the building owner to complete the transformation.
