From August 9-13, 2024, we had the privilege of attending the NOBLE - National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives 48th Annual Training Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans, LA—an international gathering of over 2,000 law enforcement professionals representing communities across the nation and the world. This conference was a powerful experience, showcasing the best of leadership and training initiatives in the law enforcement community. The focus on leadership development and addressing current affairs in the profession resonated deeply, and it was inspiring to see how these discussions translated to broader industries. The keynote speakers brought forward messages that were not only impactful but also highly relevant to today’s challenges in public safety. While we were at the 2024 Small & Rural Law Enforcement Executives Association Conference and Training Event, we heard several recurring themes from attendees. The following are topics that were on their minds: 🚓 Recruitment Challenges: Agencies face difficulties attracting recruits. Galls Customized Uniforms can alleviate some logistical burdens, making onboarding smoother with recruits’ uniforms being shipped within 7 to 10 days of order. 📦 Delivery Times: Long delivery times for essential gear were a common grievance. Our promise of faster, reliable delivery was well-received. 👕 Apparel for Women: The need for properly fitting apparel and ballistic vests for women is significant. Attendees appreciated our wide range of sizes and tailored options. 🛡️Ballistic Protection: This ongoing need, especially in small and rural agencies, was a prominent topic. They often have no protection or if they do, it is expired. Many expressed interest in hybrid shirts, a versatile option that Galls proudly offers. Galls was honored to partner with the Office of the Attorney General's Department of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for a powerful demonstration of life-saving gear at the Bowling Green Police Firing Range. With support from a $15 million grant from the Kentucky General Assembly, over 30 law enforcement agencies across Kentucky will soon be equipped with state-of-the-art body armor and essential gear. A special thanks to Attorney General Russell Coleman for attending and participating in the demonstration. As the sole fulfillment vendor for this program, Galls is proud to play a key role in protecting those who protect us. This initiative underscores our commitment to providing the highest quality gear to the brave men and women serving our communities.
