Reducing Youth Sports Insurance Cost Even When Insurance Coverage Choices Are Declining and Policy Costs Are Rising Even in a youth sports insurance market that includes declining choice and higher cost https://lnkd.in/gDz4nGiQ , youth sports insurance cost can be reduced and community access to insurance could be improved if the coverage is provided globally for all leagues and teams by the city and school district (vs every league or team seeking separate coverage with a cost range $3-$10k per year). Based on the current model of separate insurance coverage for every league, the community overall youth sports insurance cost is multiplied 5-10 times (per league or team) in a city or school district as compared to insurance coverage being centrally maintained and at a overall lower cost for all leagues and teams by a city or school district-which would include centralized training in order to be covered by the policy. Ultimately, as parents in the local community, we need to request the city and school district to pivot to this insurance model -since lower insurance cost reduces youth sports cost and improves sports field access for the children in our city.

We Are Creating An Easy Way To Schedule and Play Sports
About us
We are a group of youth sport coaches and parents that believes our current youth sports’ system - by increasing play time - can significantly improve kids’ participation in sports. The time and cost to play are directly impacted by a variety of factors including difficulty in finding games or teams to play access to facilities (& insurance to use those facilities) access to coaches, referees/umpires Which means a lot of kids are missing what sports should be providing- fun, exercise & development. Our Mission We are a sports league that supports all sports which includes a simple and easy-to-use sports scheduling application that provides players a fun sports experience by providing coaches and parents a easy low cost way to increase their player play time while increasing revenue and reducing costs for partner leagues, field operators, coaches & referees (or umpires, judges etc.)

Neighborhood Sports Play is the Last Affordable Youth Sports Option The belief that youth recreational sports is the last affordable sport option is an urban myth since the average cost for 3 months of youth recreational sports costs $300-$400 per player for 3 months of play (compare that cost to the average monthly food budget for a family of 4 in California is just under $300) As parents we need to ask ourselves, why do we need coaches, uniforms, referees or umpires, parents and sport field rentals for our kids to play a sport that most of us played in our neighborhoods with our friends until about 2 decades ago --and while most of us believe that neighborhood play option is gone-how can we reintroduce that play culture back into our neighborhoods.

Sports Participation =Better Mental Health "Over the past two decades, researchers examining the broad-scale benefits of sport participation have reported a positive association between sport participation and mental health of young people .... This literature has indicated that compared to non-participants, youth who participate in sport tend to report a wide range of better mental health outcomes including higher self-esteem/self-concept....., life satisfaction, fewer depressive symptoms ...., and less anxiety, stress, hopelessness/fatalism or suicidality."

A playground is more than just a place for children to have fun. According to Dr. Henry Taylor, Chairman of the Board at King Urban Life Center, it also provides an opportunity for children to develop social skills such as communication, imaginative play, empathy, and conflict resolution. In addition, the physical activities help promote a culture of health. We believe that schools can create a significant positive impact to their communities by providing access to safe, unstructured play when families have affordable and easy access to their play facilities. #education #communityimpact https://lnkd.in/gStVAHS7
