🚴✨ Ganddini Group spent the past weekend with friends and family at Irvine's first-ever Open Streets event! As transportation planners, it was fantastic to see so many travelers of all ages embracing the car-free streets, including cyclists, pedestrians, rollerbladers, and everything in between. The aroma of tasty food truck offerings and sounds of live entertainment filled the air, local businesses seemed busy as ever, and plenty of family-friendly activities kept the little ones happy.     Congratulations City of Irvine on a successful celebration of community and sustainability 🌿🚲     Thank you to all the organizers, sponsors, law enforcement, and volunteers. Already looking forward to the next one!    #CicloIrvine #OpenStreets #Community #Sustainability #Mobility #TransportationPlanning

Fontana Approves Citrus and Boyle Industrial Commerce Center Earlier this week, the City of Fontana approved the Citrus and Boyle Industrial Commerce Center, a proposed 355,995 square foot industrial commerce building situated on 15.84 acres at the northeast corner of Citrus Avenue and Slover Avenue. Ganddini Group provided a vehicle miles traveled assessment in support of the Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) for the project and reviewed site access requirements relative to the City’s design standards, left turn pocket lengths, and access gate stacking. The City of Fontana City Council voted unanimously to adopt the MND and related General Plan Amendment. #GanddiniGroup #Transportation #CEQA #VMT #SiteAccess #Industrial #Warehousing #InlandEmpire

Los Angeles Voters Signal Support for Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Transit Enhancements by Approving Measure HLA Measure HLA passed by a wide margin with 65% of Angelenos voting “yes” in support of an ordinance that would require the City of Los Angeles to implement the pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and street modifications established in the City’s Mobility Plan 2035 whenever a street improvement, including repair or maintenance such as re-paving, is made on a roadway segment that is at least one-eighth of a mile long. The Mobility Plan 2035 (adopted in 2015) identifies many enhancements throughout the City to improve alternative modes of travel to the single-occupant vehicle, but implementation has been slow while congestion and traffic-related deaths continue to rise. Approval of the measure signals voters’ desire for more immediate implementation of multi-modal improvements and safer streets. Opponents of the measure cite concerns about emergency response times and lack of new funding that may result in other projects being put on hold. Did you know that, with smart planning, reducing the number of vehicle travel lanes (i.e., “road diet”) to improve multi-modal mobility can be accomplished with minimal impacts to vehicle travel times? Ganddini Group had the opportunity to prepare a traffic operations analysis for the Ramona/Tyler Bike Lanes project in the City of El Monte. The analysis involved field-measured travel times and the development of a traffic simulation model to evaluate potential impacts to roadway operations and travel times along the corridor, resulting from proposed lane reductions to accommodate bicycle, pedestrian, and transit improvements. Application of state-of-the-art traffic simulation tools and the study’s findings that impacts to vehicular operations would be minimal helped support the project to realization. The project has been constructed and you can read more about it on StreetsBlog LA here: https://lnkd.in/gVwPhzxe Image Credit: Chris Greenspon/SBLA #GanddiniGroup #TrafficEngineering #TransportationPlanning #TrafficSimulation #RoadDiet

Ganddini Group is carrying momentum from December into 2024! Last month, we helped the following projects achieve significant milestones in the development process: • Dalewood Street Hotel – Approved by Baldwin Park City Council • Imperial Highway Orthopedic Surgery Center – Approved by Brea Planning Commission • Our Lady of Guadalupe Expansion – Approved by Fountain Valley City Council • Dutch Bros and Quick Quack – Approved by Eastvale Planning Commission Several of these projects included complex issues relating to parking and drive-through queuing. In addition to traffic/VMT analysis, Ganddini Group contributed our expertise to methodically address these concerns and successfully navigate the approval process. As 2024 brings new opportunities, we look forward to helping clients face new challenges with industry-leading services and solutions. #GanddiniGroup #TrafficEngineering #TrafficAnalysis #TransportationPlanning

LCI is incredibly excited to announce that our "Redlands West" property is now fully entitled! This project represents not only our fourth entitlement within the City of Perris during CY 2023, it also happens to be our largest property and building entitled in LCI's five-year history! We will commence construction drawings in January and project construction starting in 4Q24. Once built, the 301,000 SF building will feature: 40' clear, 38 DH doors, 1 GL, and a GIGANTIC truck court with 164 trailer stalls. A huge thank you to our Lake Creek team members as well as all of the folks and partners that helped along the way. Christine Saunders RGA, Office of Architectural Design Ganddini Group, Inc.
