Last week was incredible! ONFLC 2024 was the first field leadership conference back in five years, and what a massive success it was! 1,500 store leaders gathered in Orlando, FL to network, learn, collaborate, and get inspired. From leader presentations, awards, immersive activities and more, it was a jam-packed agenda built to empower. From store operations, field visual, brand and Gap Inc. partners, the Orlando market team and more - congratulations to all who were involved in bringing the conference to life. #ONFLC - we'll see you in 2025!

Once more '94! Last week we announced the launch of our limited-edition '94 Reissue Collection, bringing back and modernizing some of our greatest hits from the ‘90s as a way to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Reconnecting with longtime fans and welcoming new tastemakers into the brand, last week we brought the fun to New York Fashion Week with a '90s throwback party hosted by Zac Posen and The Cut and with special performers Ja Rule, En Vogue and Hanson. '94 Reissue is now available to shop online and in stores. Read more on the Gap Inc. Newsroom via the link below. https://lnkd.in/gKyVT4u5

Ringing the closing bell at the NYSE this week was the first (but not the last!) moment to celebrate and recognize our 30th birthday this year.    Old Navy was founded 30 years ago in 1994, and since then we’ve been on a mission to make fashion accessible and shopping fun...for everyone! Since then, we made household names out of iconic product categories like jingle jammies, $1 flip flops and flag tees. We have dressed some of pop culture’s biggest stars for memorable campaigns. And we have continuously given back to the communities we serve. And this week, teams, community partners, store leaders and valued suppliers came from all around the country (and in some cases, all around the globe!) to celebrate our rich history, our unique culture, and the success of Old Navy as an iconic American brand.      What’s next? Stay tuned! And believe us when we say - thirty years fly by when you’re this fabulous!

Old Navy is in the middle of Back to School, but we’ve always got our eye on the future, in more ways than one! Store teams are busy hosting ON the Job events, which are job shadowing opportunities for youth interested in our This Way ONward program. These events help “school” the youth in what it’s like to work in a store – everything from working at the cash wrap, to working in the fitting room, to putting together outfits. They even practice valuable skills with mock interviews so they can get an A+ when it’s time for them to apply for a job. Old Navy has been proud to host ON the Job events for the past 25 years – and during that time, 150,000 youths have gotten a glimpse into what it’s like to work in retail. Check out a few pictures from the ON the Job events in our Orlando, FL market, where the local General Managers helped the groups learn about all things Old Navy.

Old Navy has a long history of supporting young people in the communities we serve. Championing those efforts is Steve Peters, Head of Stores and Store Operations, who serves as the Executive Sponsor of This Way ONward - Old Navy's program that helps bridge the opportunity gap.   Steve recently joined a panel discussion at Jobs for the Future (JFF)’s Impact Employer Summit in Washington, DC, about creating economic opportunity in today’s labor market.   “It was incredible to be in front of a cross-section of leaders from so many different companies who all wanted to hear how Old Navy – and Gap Inc. – are making opportunity hiring programs come to life for frontline workers. I talked about how programs like This Way ONward have shared value, with participants getting job training, mentorship and work experience, and our company filling talent needs while improving employee engagement and retention. These programs help advance economic opportunities in our communities, which is also important to our customers as the want to do business with companies that play a positive role in society.” -Steve Peters

As the impact of our This Way ONward program continues to grow, we're proud that Gap Inc. is recognized on the The American Opportunity Index’s 2024 Best Places for High School Graduates to Start a Career list! Part of Gap Inc.'s efforts to bridge the opportunity gap, This Way ONward is Old Navy's career rocket ship, providing both a way in and a way up for youth - and our data shows that participants exhibit longer job tenures and higher engagement scores than their peers at Old Navy.   We know that first jobs can be challenging! With a focus on economically marginalized, early-career talent aged 16 to 24, This Way ONward paves pathways to employment and financial stability through skills training, wraparound support, mentorship, and work experience.    #GapInc   https://lnkd.in/ggBS5bDg
