Imagine a completely new way to do an ongoing freedom-to-operate analysis. One in which you upload free-form invention disclosures that get broken down into inventive concepts which you can edit. The system then performs a thorough prior art analysis covering the specification, figures, and claims alike across all filing offices globally. After which, the system analyzes all the prior art and the inventive concepts synchronously. The end product is a final grid with a summary of the relevant excerpts across the landscape in a succinct summary along with detailed explanations for each element and relevant prior art. Garden is rolling a beta version for our tool at the end of next week with some of our closest customers. If you're interested, please message me or email me at adi@gardenintel.com.

Excited to welcome Maddy Sivakumar to our team as our Founding IP Strategist! Maddy is a highly skilled IP attorney with over 10+ years of work experience, including in counseling clients on all aspects of patent protection: prosecution and litigation; pre-litigation strategy and enforcement; licensing, and global portfolio management. Prior to joining Garden as the Founding IP Strategist, she worked at two prominent IP law firms where she focused on complex patent litigation and contested proceedings before the USPTO. When I first met Maddy, I was immediately impressed by her attention to detail and efficiency inside of her own legal practice and her high standards for client success. Justin and I got to know Maddy over the following few months over a series of calls and dinners, and quickly realized that she is the type of teammate that would significantly raise the bar for us. It’s only been her second week at Garden, but she’s already led a webinar on IPWatchdog, Inc, met with top customers, and improved our product significantly. Having Maddy’s legal DNA with our ML engineering culture has already began to pay dividends, and we are excited to have her work with us side-by-side in solving our customers’ most painstaking problems in legal and life sciences!

This week, Garden will be sharing a big milestone in our company’s history. As we gear up for this news, Justin and I are overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who has supported us to date. This comes on the heels of some of the busiest weeks of sales and recruiting we’ve ever had, along with our move into a new office in Manhattan. Stay tuned.

Today, Bain Capital Ventures and Headline recognize 50 emerging vertical SaaS companies with our second annual Vertical SaaS 50! 🏭 We continue to see founders building in fragmented industries that are heavily document based: Once again, we had strong company representation in architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) with the likes of BuildVision, Trayd, Trunk Tools and XBuild, as well as in logistics, with Axle, Boon, Cargado and Pallet. This year, we saw more companies building in professional services with Eve, Garden, and Materia AI, financial services with Rogo and Zocks, and government with Forage and Polimorphic. ✨ Advancements in AI have unsurprisingly unlocked many vertical SaaS capabilities: Companies like Bolo AI offer an AI-powered knowledge platform for oil & gas, MagicSchool AI provides K-12 teachers with a co-pilot and Norm Ai uses AI agents to take care of regulatory compliance. Taylor Brandt and I are excited to hear from you! If you are building a vertical SaaS company or have recommendations for our 2025 list please reach out to us directly.
