This #WarriorWednesday, we honor Col. Julia Hamblet, a trailblazing Marine who transformed the role of women in the Marine Corps. Serving from WWII through the 1960s, she became the youngest woman to head the Women Marines and was instrumental in integrating women into the Corps. Col. Hamblet commanded thousands of women and received the Legion of Merit for her outstanding service. Her leadership broke barriers and paved the way for future generations of women in the military. Her legacy of courage and dedication will never be forgotten. Semper Fi, Col. Hamblet!

Last week, we had the honor of sending WWII veterans from New York on a special trip to the The National WWII Museum in New Orleans. With support from American Airlines and a local high school, this journey is more than just a trip—it’s an opportunity for these brave veterans to share untold stories, connect with others, and inspire the next generation. This #MedalOfHonorMonday, we honor Corporal Edward Andrew Bennett for his extraordinary bravery during WWII. When his company was pinned down by enemy fire in Heckhuscheid, Germany, Cpl. Bennett courageously flanked the enemy, single-handedly eliminating seven German soldiers in a fierce hand-to-hand battle. His fearless actions saved countless lives and ensured the success of his unit's mission. Today, we salute you!

"It's very healing, just knowing Gary's got my back." We had the honor of welcoming the children of fallen heroes from the Vietnam War to the Gary Sinise Foundation offices in Nashville. Their courage and resilience remind us that the sacrifices of their loved ones will never be forgotten. As we continue to support these incredible families, we stand together to honor the legacy of those who gave everything for our freedom.

This #SaturdaySalute, we are honored to recognize Army Sergeant Joshua Wetzel, a true symbol of resilience and courage. On May 31, 2012, while leading his weapons squad in Afghanistan, Josh’s life changed forever when he lost both legs in an IED blast. Despite the unimaginable challenges, Josh met them with incredible strength and grit. Since that fateful day, Josh has not only learned to walk again but has also runs, swims, hand cycles, and has even monoskiied. He pursued his passion for learning, earning a degree in marketing from Auburn University, and Josh and his wife, Paige, are also authors sharing their inspiring journey through faith and resilience for others. Josh’s story is a testament to the power of determination, love, and an unbreakable spirit. We are honored to recognize you, Josh, for all you have achieved and for the inspiration you continue to provide. This #WarriorWednesday, we salute Lt. j.g. Madeline Swegle, the Navy’s first-known Black woman to earn her ‘wings of gold’ as a tactical air pilot in 2020. Swegle is part of a new generation of TACAIR pilots, mastering state-of-the-art equipment on the USS Gerald R. Ford. Thank you for your service and trailblazing spirit, Lt. Swegle!

🎖️ This #MedalOfHonorMonday, we honor Master Sergeant Nicholas Oresko for his extraordinary bravery in WWII. Despite being severely wounded, he single-handedly neutralized two enemy bunkers, killed 12 German soldiers, and successfully completed the mission. His courage and unwavering commitment to his teammates exemplify the highest ideals of military service. We salute you, Master Sergeant Oresko!
