We've added another Championship team to The City of Champions! 🏆 This past Monday evening, Gateway Engineers won the Pittsburgh Architects Softball League Championship, finishing the regular season with 12 wins and only 3 losses, and running the table in the playoffs. Gateway won the Championship game 11-5, closing it out in style with a 4-6-3 double play. Congratulations to our winning team, and all our team members who played this season! The ArcGIS API for Python is a powerful, modern Pythonic library that provides a consistent programmatic experience for scripting and automating across the ArcGIS product suite. “Passing the ArcGIS API for Python Associate Exam equips me with the skills needed to develop advanced geospatial workflows, enhance our in-house GIS solutions, and drive innovation in the field,” Aidan said. “I am excited about the new opportunities and possibilities this achievement brings to myself and to Gateway.” As Esri partners, Gateway utilizes the latest GIS technology to leverage the power of data to help our clients better understand their asset inventory and maintenance needs. It would be difficult to celebrate our 70th anniversary without recognizing the single most important transformation in Gateway's history - our strategic decision to become a Project Focused Organization (PFO). The Project Focused Organization is an organizational philosophy and structure in which individual projects are the focal element, where everyone and everything in the organization is focused on the selling and executing of projects. The term PFO was first introduced to our President Emeritus, Daniel S. Deiseroth, P.E., when attending a seminar on the philosophy. It was there that Dan met Bob Maxman, an industry professional providing management consultant and support services to architectural, engineering and construction firms. With Bob's guidance, Gateway adopted the PFO structure and hired Mike Zavoina in 1998 as its CEO. The transformation from a traditional, department-based organization to a project focused organization ensured that client projects were always the main focal point of the business.
