Today, we announced that Aleksandr Petiushko, one of the world’s leading minds in AI research, has joined Gatik to head our AI Research Group. Since announcing the Gatik AI Research Group at this year’s CVPR, the group has been actively establishing collaborations with leading universities and respected scientists who are advancing innovation in the field of AI. Aleksandr brings an extensive background in machine learning, most recently serving as Head of Machine Learning (ML) Research at robotics and autonomous delivery vehicle company Nuro. Under his leadership, the group will redefine the landscape of autonomous transportation and tackle the most complex self-driving challenges by leveraging pioneering artificial intelligence research that integrates cutting-edge concepts from both academia and industry. Yesterday, I was driving research initiatives at Nuro. Today, I've embarked on an exciting new chapter as the Head of AI Research at Gatik. I'm aware that there are numerous technical obstacles to overcome at my new role, but I firmly believe that with two crucial elements in place - the trust and confidence of our founders (Arjun Narang, Gautam Narang, and Apeksha Kumavat), and a talented Research Team - we can tackle any challenge. With the full support and shared vision of Gatik behind us, I'm confident that nothing is impossible .
