💚 We sure do love celebrating St. Patrick's Day at #GBQ. This year, we are sharing a few fun facts that are sure to delight at any party or gathering. 💚 Did you know: 🍀Saint Patrick didn't wear green. His color was actually blue. 💙 🍀Because St. Patrick's Day was considered a religious holiday, for most of the 20th century all pubs would close on this day. In 1970, all that changed when the day received its national holiday status. 🍺 🍀There are records that appear to show the first St. Patrick's Day parade actually took place on March 17, 1601, in a Spanish colony in what is now St. Augustine, Florida. However, other reports show that the first "modern" St. Patrick's Day parade took place in New York City in 1762. 🇮🇪🇺🇸
