GALÁPAGOS WINS AZA EXHIBIT AWARD TOP HONORS! Gecko Group collaborated on this year’s AZA Exhibit Award Top Honors Recipient, The Galápagos Islands at the Houston Zoo. A few of the Gecko Group team were on hand in Calgary for this year’s Association of Zoos and Aquariums conference. We were overjoyed to hear that the Houston Zoo’s Galápagos Islands exhibit took home the Top Honors prize for Exhibits. Gecko Group had the honor to provide interpretive planning, content development, copywriting, graphic design, exhibit design, and donor recognition design for this landmark exhibit. During the American Revolution, a group of British loyalists, known as the Doan Gang, operated in the shadows of southeastern Pennsylvania. Their world was full of espionage, intrigue, and even lost treasure. Their story has been shrouded in conjecture, myth, and legend. Now, a new exhibition at the Mercer Museum explores these fascinating characters to help visitors uncover the truth for themselves. Were they heroes or outlaws? For this exciting historical exhibit, the Mercer Museum team collaborated with Gecko Group and fabrication partner Art Guild to bring the story out of the shadows.
