In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we want to share a #DontSkip message from one of our own. On February 1, 2023, Jen Stroud found a lump in her breast. Fast forward 558 days, 24 rounds of chemo treatment, four surgeries, and countless doctor’s visits, she is now on the other side of this journey and uses her experience to advocate to friends, family and colleagues the importance of self-exams and early detection. Lumps don’t follow a schedule and can appear at any time. Thanks to the swift action of her doctors, care of her loved ones, and advances in diagnostic and treatment innovation, Jen’s story is a powerful reminder that early detection can make all the difference. Her message to anyone who reads this: Have you done a self-breast exam? Let this be the reminder you need to take charge of your health and those you care about. #DontSkip #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #BreastCancer

Each year, more than 300,000 children in China are born with congenital heart disease. Due to the lack of the proper technology and specially trained physicians in rural China, this common birth defect is a leading cause of infant mortality. But Dr. He Yihua and the Anzhen hospital, in collaboration with GE HealthCare, have built a prenatal and postnatal intelligent integrated treatment platform using fetal heart ultrasound and AI, to help diagnose patients remotely. This technology will help our combined mission of expanding healthcare access to all and providing patient care to those in need. 💜 Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/eE4VVzRG 📸: Mikey Kay #FutureofHealthcare #GEHealthCare #InfantCare #WorldHeartDay

Every patient story reminds us of our why. 💜 Our colleague Morgan Kendrick’s journey with his daughter began with a GE HealthCare ultrasound that diagnosed an ultra-rare congenital heart defect during a 20-week anatomy scan. The defect was so severe that it led to a heart transplant at just two months old. Today, she’s 14 and thriving, a testament to the power of early detection, advancements in medicine, and continuous monitoring. We’re incredibly grateful for the innovations that make moments like these possible. To all the healthcare professionals, families, and patients — this is why we keep pushing boundaries. 💪 #GEHealthCare #HealthcareInnovation #HeartHealth

Safety is a year-round priority for healthcare providers, but today we're especially focused on its importance across all care settings and how we can continue to improve this for patients. Laura Batz Townsend's powerful story about her mother, Louise, highlights why patient advocacy matters. Inspired by her experience, Laura founded a foundation dedicated to championing patient safety after her mother sadly passed away following complications after a routine knee replacement surgery; complications that could have been better managed if new tech that continuously monitors patients had been available at the time. Read more about Louise's story and how innovative monitoring technology is shaping a safer future for patients: https://lnkd.in/eAEAfUgx #PatientAdvocacy #HealthcareInnovation #WorldPatientSafetyDay

We recently took to the floor of the 25th Annual Scientific Congress of the Vietnamese Society of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine! 💜 It was a whirlwind of demonstrations and reveals, but taking center stage was our team who officially launched the SIGNA Champion 1.5T MRI scanner and the comprehensive ultrasound solution LOGIQ Totus for the Vietnamese market. The launch could boost efficiency in Vietnam's overcrowded hospitals, potentially improving care for thousands of patients by alleviating the workload on the country's limited medical workforce.  As a Diamond Sponsor, we also got to showcase our comprehensive care pathway solutions for cardiology and oncology, focusing on liver care, to the congress attendees. #FutureofHealthcare #NuclearMedicine #Radiology
