The Association of Graduates - U.S. Air Force Academy and Air Force Academy Foundation celebrated the Kucera Legacy Center's ribbon cutting at Falcon Stadium on Sept. 6. Jack '78 and Vianne Kucera are the lead donors for the stadium's modernization project, which includes the Kucera Legacy Center and upgrades to the north tunnel. Jack Kucera ’78 explained why philanthropy is so important at the United States Air Force Academy. “The word ‘legacy’ is used [in the name]. This isn’t about any one person’s legacy. This is the legacy of the United States Air Force and the warrior graduates that come out of this institution and the impact they have on keeping the world a safe place,” Kucera said. “We all want the same freedoms and liberties for our children that we had, and the Air Force Academy is how we do that.” The new east-side building includes an array of high-quality concession options, increased restroom capacity, an Air Force team shop, and 850 premium seats within the East Club presented by L3Harris Technologies. 📽️ Watch the full ceremony: https://bit.ly/47nxujm 📸 Photos from the ribbon cutting: https://bit.ly/3XE4el7

Our team recently wrapped up work at the United States Air Force Academy Hosmer Visitor’s Center. This iconic new building consists of approximately 32,000 SF and will feature exhibits telling the story of an Air Force Academy cadet through virtual experiences and artifacts. The unique architecture drove the need for advanced mechanical systems, including displacement ventilation, in-slab radiant cooling, and the installation of a 60-inch diameter underground BlueDuct® system.
