Unique educational opportunities for students in STEM through Scholarships, Internships, and Workforce Development.
About us
An IRS 501(c)3 Scientific Charity where accredited scientists raise money to provide scholarships, internships, and employment opportunities to students and recent graduates looking to gain industry related experience in STEM fields. Opportunities provided by our organization or our industry partners are designed for STEM students with a passion and desire to contribute to the scientific community, particularly those who may not have had the grades or connections necessary to find gainful industry employment. We are actively engaged in the conservation of public lands by providing data collection services, environmental monitoring/ maintenance, and remediation/ site clean-up for abandoned and potentially hazardous mining sites. All projects and closures are completed with the assurance of wildlife and cultural preservation under the direct supervision of environmental scientists who have dedicated themselves to our cause. We operate out of a mobile platform (re. travel trailer) equipped with an office, living quarters, UTV, and survey equipment situated on or adjacent to the project site. The mobile platform model minimizes overhead cost and keeps our contract bids on local, state, and federal government projects competitive. Bringing student interns on board will enable them to garner experience on federal and state contracts through an organization that prides itself in providing a quality service. Once we gain notoriety and build a reputation for the capability of our interns, we hope to become a valued source of recruitment, where our interns are prized for the diversity in knowledge they possess, their work ethic, and their ability to adapt with changes in any work environment.

Congratulations from all of us at GEM Corps to Madison Link on completing her Master's Degree! We are so excited to see where your bright future will take you!! It's wonderful seeing former GEM folks grow and bloom in their industries.
I’m excited to share that I have completed my Master of Arts in Industrial Organizational Psychology! This experience has once again shown me that it takes a village to achieve amazing things. During this journey, I have been helped by so many, including: -My professors, Kristina Dandy and H. L. (Lee) Gillis, PhD, ABPP, as well as my mentor/past supervisor, Eric Welsh, who all wrote me recommendations for the program. -My IO mentor, Jenny Kent, who encouraged me every step of the way. -My professors that helped me grow and gave me the skills needed to make places of work engaging, satisfying, and rewarding. -My cohort members that made every class interesting and insightful. -My supervisors for actively encouraging me to continue pursuing my educational goals and giving me chances to use my learned skills in my current position. -My friends who listened to my rants of being overwhelmed by working full time during an intense academic program. -Lastly, my family that supported me throughout the entire process with patience, understanding, and love. Each person in my community played a vital role in my ability to thrive in the UGA Professional I-O Psychology Master's Program. I am forever grateful to them and hope they know what an impact they have had on my life. Now it’s time to put this degree to work! As my classmate once said, “Let’s use our powers to ensure the workplace doesn’t suck!” 😂
