About us
At Genacy, we understand that you want your family to be happy, healthy, and living in harmony. However, you may not feel confident today that those outcomes are possible in your family. It’s even possible that the uncertainty you may feel about not achieving those outcomes is a major source of stress and anxiety. First, know that you are not alone if you feel that way. The majority of the families with whom we work struggle with the same kind of issues, which is why we have been walking alongside families to help them achieve what matters most to them since 2003. Here is how our typical family engagement progresses: 1. We have a conversation with you; 2. We work together to develop a unique success plan for your family’s legacy; and, 3. We help your family to achieve and celebrate significant milestones along the way. Please contact us today to talk about how we can help you achieve what matters most to you and your family. To learn more about the complete process, download our article, The 12 Elements of Successful Families. We look forward to meeting you to talk about what Genacy can do for your family.

When you were doing your estate planning, you may have been asked: “How much do you leave to your children?” That’s often followed by questions about “when“ and “how” you want them to receive the money. And the default answers are often “divide it equally between the children, and give the 1/3rd at ages (30, 35, and 40 or some other age ranges).” However, a more insightful question might be: "What impact do you want your inheritance to have on your children?" The answer to this question can guide your decisions on "how much," "when," and "how" to distribute the inheritance, as well as what steps you should take during your lifetime to prepare them. Explore the questions that successful multigenerational families ask and learn how they manage to sustain their family and wealth across generations. Every family is unique, and there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ plan. But there is a proven methodology to help us create a plan for you and your family. https://lnkd.in/g-HxQ2aD

We often get asked: “How much is too much to leave to our children?” The answer is simple: Anything more than what you’ve prepared them for is too much. Have you prepared your children for the inheritances they will receive? We address this through 'pre-inheritance experiences,' which provide opportunities for them to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage their future inheritance. Every family is unique, and there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ plan. But there is a proven methodology to help us create a plan for you and your family. https://lnkd.in/g-HxQ2aD

History and studies show that families often struggle to keep their wealth and unity across generations. Over 30 years ago, our research found a quote from a Chinese scholar 2,000 years ago: "fu bu guo san dai," which means "Wealth never survives three generations." Similar sentiments exist worldwide. While many focus on why things go wrong, we look at what works. We’ve identified the key practices of successful multigenerational families worldwide: they create a strong culture of communication, trust, and mentoring, all tied to their unique family purpose. If you want your family to safeguard, manage, and grow their wealth while staying together for generations, we can help. Every family is unique, and there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ plan. You have likely heard stories in which an inheritance negatively impacted the recipient, and these stories are often true. In most cases, the underlying issue is that the children were simply not prepared to handle the wealth they received. Consider this scenario: your 16-year-old child has just learned to drive using your family’s SUV and recently obtained their driver’s license. Then, you give them a brand-new Lamborghini and say “have fun!“ What do you think will happen? For many, the question isn’t whether IF there will be an accident, but rather how severe the accident will be and how much damage will occur. The same principle applies to inheritances. If you train them to drive the family SUV and then give them a Lamborghini, there will likely be problems. If you’ve trained them to handle a modest amount of wealth and then leave them a substantial inheritance, trouble is almost inevitable. Are you taking steps to prepare your children and grandchildren for their inheritances? If not, we can help you ensure they are ready. Every family is unique, and there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ plan. But there is a proven methodology to help us create a plan for you and your family. https://lnkd.in/g-HxQ2aD
