About us
At General Carbide, we manufacture tungsten carbide tooling for a wide range of industrial wear and metal forming applications. In addition to producing metallurgical powders, we shape, sinter and finish-grind tungsten carbide. We employ more than 200 highly-skilled professionals in our production operations, enabling us to sell our products throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia. The company was established 50 years ago in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh, and has annual sales of more than $40 million. As a woman-owned business, General Carbide has achieved certification from the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
