Join us this holiday season in giving back to the community that raised us. We're coming together to support those in need, including new Mainers and our unhoused neighbors. From Lewiston to Auburn, Portland to Boothbay, donation boxes will be set up across Maine. Let’s spread warmth, love, and hope—give what you can at a location near you, and make a difference for someone this holiday. ❤️ #CommunityStrong #MaineGives #SpreadTheLove #HolidayGiveback

Our youth are the heart and soul of Generational Noor – their energy, ideas, and passion are the very foundation of everything we do. At our recent 2-year anniversary celebration, they surprised our Executive Director with a heartfelt video message, a beautiful reminder of just how much this journey means to them. In this video, you’ll hear directly from the young voices that drive our mission forward. Their words, filled with gratitude, love, and excitement for the future, brought so much joy to all of us. Watching them share their experiences and dreams reminded us that the work we do together is so much bigger than ourselves – it’s about building a brighter future for our entire community. Thank you to each of these incredible young leaders for your dedication and for reminding us why we do this work every single day. We couldn’t ask for a better reason to keep moving forward. 💫❤️ #GenerationalNoor #YouthLeadership #CommunityLove #TwoYearsAndCounting

At Generational Noor, our mission is to spark open, honest conversations about substance use and mental health. If we don’t address the challenges we’re facing, we can’t begin to heal. Stigma thrives in silence, and it’s time we push it aside to make room for support and understanding. We were honored to host Abdirahman Warsame and Farhia Budul, two inspiring leaders from our community who shared their personal journeys of recovery. Listening to their stories underscored the importance of creating spaces where we can openly discuss the struggles we often keep hidden. Their courage reminds us that we’re not alone, and that healing happens when we share our experiences. This conversation is only the beginning. We’re committed to holding more discussions like this, because every story shared brings us closer to a stigma-free community. Stay tuned for more clips from this impactful session. Let’s continue to stand together, support each other, and create the community we all deserve. #GenerationalNoor #CommunityHealing #EndTheStigma #RecoveryJourney #MentalHealthMatters

Today marks the anniversary of a day that forever changed Lewiston—a day of unimaginable loss and heartbreak. But in the face of tragedy, our community found strength, resilience, and the true meaning of unity. We came together to support each other, uplift one another, and honor the lives we lost by building a stronger, more connected community. Today, we remember, we reflect, and we continue to move forward, side by side. #LewistonStrong #CommunityResilience #InRemembrance

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our collaborative Youth Recovery Café event at the Portland Recovery Community Center! 🙏🏾✨ It was truly a remarkable day filled with meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and a deep sense of connection. From the open discussions on mental health and substance use to the stories of resilience and recovery, we were reminded once again of the power of understanding and support. This event wasn’t just about sharing knowledge; it was about building a community rooted in empathy, where young people feel seen, heard, and empowered in their recovery journeys. We are so grateful for the connections made and the bonds strengthened. Together, we are breaking down stigma, creating safe spaces, and fostering hope. Special thanks to our partners at the Portland Recovery Community Center for making this day possible. Here’s to many more impactful gatherings! 🌱💙 #YouthRecovery #RecoveryCafe #GenerationalNoor #PortlandRecoveryCenter #CommunityHealing #BreakingStigma #MentalHealthMatters
