Genesee Block Ice Company

Founded on the estate of Rochester's original ice baron, Mathias Kondolf, the Genesee Block Ice Company is dedicated to producing ultra-clear, large format ice for local bars and restaurants. By being centrally located in the city, we can deliver just in time to bars throughout the Rochester metro, saving expensive storage solutions for excess inventory and making it easier to create high-quality craft cocktails. Our water is sourced from Hemlock Lake and is of incredibly high quality, allowing us to produce a superior product. We also produce ice in blocks sized to be cut once by a food-grade band saw without being taken outside to be worked with a chainsaw first. All this because we believe that if you care enough about cocktails that use the finest ingredients, we should care that much about the ice that goes into them.
