Custom RibbonLyte and Channel fixtures from Acolyte have achieved an “excellent” TM66 rating, putting them in the highest attainable level of circularity for manufacturing. Developed by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and the Society of Light and Lighting (SLL), TM66 provides measures to assess the circularity of lighting fixtures. It is an exacting 72-step guideline that demands proof of the highest standards from product designers and manufacturers, including methods of assessing a product’s circular economy performance and real-world examples of good practice in categories like product design, manufacturing techniques, materials and services. The goal? To facilitate more sustainable building practices across the board. Ratings range from “very poor” to “excellent” circular economy performance.
