We're thrilled to kick off the imaGen ventures Global Incubation Week in Istanbul, Türkiye, bringing together 10 teams of brilliant young innovators to gain the skills, knowledge, and connections they need to scale their ventures and drive positive change in their communities and beyond 🌍💡 Concentrating on sustainability and climate change through #GreenEntrepreneurship, these winning teams are developing innovative solutions in: 🌱 Green energy 🍽️ Food security 🤖 Robotics 🧬 Biomimetic transformation 👩🦽 Assistive technology 🥩 Eco-conscious meat production ⚡ Clean energy infrastructure ♻️ Socially responsible recycling 🧠 Mental Health Over the next week they will engage in masterclasses by experts, 1-on-1 mentorship from industry leaders, global networking opportunities, and hands-on workshops to refine their ventures to help shape a better future for all generations. #SkillsRightNow #imaGenVentures

Young people are ready to drive change in society; they want to be heard and have the chance to show what they are capable of. With #SkillsRightNow and the right opportunities, they can achieve their dreams. In a dialogue with members of the Young People’s Action Team, Generation Unlimited CEO Kevin Frey exchanged ideas on career development, social inclusion, youth leadership, and key strategies for guiding Generation Unlimited. Main takeaways: • Inclusive Education: It requires policy changes and curriculum adaptations to create a more inclusive system. • GenU's Activities: Focus on skilling young people, with considerations for expanding into areas like youth well-being & Artificial Intelligence. • Stakeholder Management: It is challenging to align diverse stakeholder interests, but it is important to keep focused on a unified mission for impactful collaboration. • Youth Empowerment: Youth need resources and opportunities to drive impact.

Al-Mashat - a Generation Unlimited's Global Board member and co-Chair of Shabab Balad (Generation Unlimited Egypt), the Ministry of Youth & Sports of Egypt Minister Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, also a Shabab Balad (Generation Unlimited Egypt) Board member, and the 50+ corporate, government and philanthropic leaders who joined the BRIDGE Roundtable hosted by Ministry of International Cooperation to identify opportunities for public-private-youth partnerships to promote youth employment and entrepreneurship in 🇪🇬 . Was an honor to speak at The Scouts 2024 World Conference and meet with exceptional GenU partners and leaders including 🇺🇳 United Nations Deputy Secretary General Amina Mohamed, Scout Secretary General Ahmad Alhendawi and World YMCA Secretary General Carlos Madjri Sanvee to explore how we can support youth as they navigate the twin transitions that are shaping thier futures: the digital📱 and green 🍃 transitions. Generation Unlimited at the 43rd World Scout Conference in Cairo 🇪🇬! GenU CEO Kevin Frey joined a panel on "Global Trends" with global leaders including Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat - Member of the Generation Unlimited Board and Global Leadership Council, and Co-Chair of Shabab Balad (Generation Unlimited Egypt), United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Ms. Amina J. Mohammed, World YMCA Secretary General Carlos Madjri Sanvee, and Mr. Chris Purifoy, CEO and Co-founder of the Learning Economy Foundation to discuss youth and their #SkillsRightNow in shaping the future of development. Dr. Al-Mashat emphasized the importance of "empowering youth to achieve sustainable and inclusive growth" and increase economic resilience. She highlighted Shabab Balad as a key initiative that strengthens public-private-youth partnerships, connecting young people to opportunities where they are not just participants, but leaders and innovators, driving positive change.

Generation Unlimited’s Young People’s Action Team had an insightful mentorship session with Alan Jope former CEO of Unilever and former Chair of the GenU Board. Alan shared his extensive leadership experience, offering guidance on professional skills, fundraising and leadership principles, inspiring the young leaders to continue making a difference. 🔑 Key Learnings: - Leadership is about serving others and making a positive impact. It should be earned and fulfilling. - Don't limit your dreams or ambitions. Focus on excelling in whatever you do, and great achievements will follow. - Embrace technological advancements in IT and biotechnology. Prepare for opportunities in cybersecurity and leverage Generative AI to stay ahead. Stay informed about global power shifts towards the East and Global South. During this session, Alan also emphasized the importance of GenU addressing Generative AI, addressing its potential to create opportunities and support career and personal growth. #SkillsRightNow

Excited to announce a new global partnership between World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and UNICEF that will invest in youth-led climate action and green skills education to tackle the climate crisis head-on. Through this partnership, youth will be empowered as first responders in emergencies and provided with essential #SkillsRightNow for a changing world.
