Founded in 1985 in Bel Air, Maryland, GTA began as a geotechnical engineering and construction observation and testing firm. Under the leadership of our first president, John L. Wirth, P.E., the company grew steadily, expanding to six offices and adding environmental consulting, natural resource planning, and groundwater and wastewater consulting by the time of his retirement in 2000. John built a strong foundation that continues to support our success. 🎉 What a way to kick off the new year! On Thursday, January 9, GTA Raleigh held an unforgettable end-of-year celebration at Rush Hour Karting. The evening was filled with games, foods, drinks, and axe-throwing. It's amazing to look back—just 3-4 years ago, a similar event had only 6 attendees. Fast forward to last week, and we had 20 out of our 25 team members show up! Though we missed a few teammates due to last-minute schedule changes, we showed our appreciation with gift cards for those who covered overnight concrete pours. Even two of our ex-employees joined as plus-ones, proving that GTA’s family atmosphere lasts long.
