President and Mrs. Bush were longtime Houston Rockets fans and dear friends of Dikembe Mutombo. Dikembe was a giant man with a giant heart. His impact on and off the court will never be forgotten. The George & Barbara Bush Foundation sends our deepest condolences to Dikembe's wife, Rose, their children, and the entire basketball community.

One of America’s finest public servants, Judge William Webster, former Director of the FBI and CIA, yesterday presented a bipartisan group of Members of Congress with copies of “Character Matters…and Other Life Lessons from George H.W. As Judge Webster says in his letter to Members of Congress which accompanies the book, “I appeal to you as a leader of our country to do all you can to lead by example and to show others that collaboration, cooperation, and yes, character does matter in what we do as a nation.”

Happy Constitution Day! 🎉📜 Today, we celebrate 237 years since the signing of the U.S. Constitution—a document that laid the foundation for our democracy and continues to guide us towards justice, peace, and liberty for all. Let’s honor the principles that shape our nation and our future.

Today, we remember and honor the lives lost and the bravery shown on 9/11. To the first responders, the families who endured enormous loss, and everyone who came together in the face of adversity, we salute you and pledge to never forget. Pictured here, President and Mrs. Bush were presented an American flag that was flown at the World Trade Center as part of a 9/11 exhibit at the Bush Library & Museum in 2002.

The George & Barbara Bush Foundation extends our heartfelt condolences to Governor John Sununu and the entire Sununu family on the passing of Nancy Sununu. Nancy's unwavering support and love for her husband of sixty-five years, eight children, grandchildren, and the Granite State was truly remarkable and will be deeply missed.

Today, on the 80th anniversary, we remember the pivotal day of George H.W. Bush’s dramatic rescue by the USS Finback after being shot down over Chichi Jima during WWII.
