  • STATEMENT BY THE GEORGE & BARBARA BUSH FOUNDATION: The George & Barbara Bush Foundation joins our fellow Americans in mourning the innocent life that was lost tonight in Butler, Pennsylvania — and in sending our prayers to President Trump and his family and the other rally attendees who were injured. We are grateful to the United States Secret Service for their quick response. We also join our fellow Americans in condemning this senseless violence, which can have no place in our political process. This great Nation, which so many have fought and died to preserve, deserves better.

  • We are saddened to learn of the passing of Joe Bonsall of The Oak Ridge Boys and dear friend of President and Mrs. Bush. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bonsall family, his Oak Ridge Boys family, and his many fans. • We’re reflecting on the 41@100 Centennial Celebration Dinner that honored President George H.W. Bush’s legacy on his 100th birthday. It was the first event held in the new Marine One/4141 Locomotive Pavilion at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum on the Texas A&M campus, which is home to the historic Marine One helicopter and Union Pacific 4141 Locomotive. Thank you to President George W. Bush, Doro Bush Koch, Governor Jeb Bush, and Neil Bush who each shared memories of their father that truly captured the essence of his character. Lauren Bush Lauren also gave a heartfelt memorial toast, and attendees enjoyed a performance from The Oak Ridge Boys.   The Marine One/4141 Locomotive Pavilion is free to the public Monday – Saturday, 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and Sunday, noon – 5 p.m.   #41at100

  • Thank you to everyone who joined us at Texas A&M University to celebrate the life and legacy of President George H.W. Bush on what would’ve been his 100th birthday.   We heard heartwarming stories and inspirational lessons from people who worked alongside him and remember him fondly, including special guests and panel members Secretary Robert M. Gates, Jon Meacham and Jean Becker. We appreciate the Bush grandchildren sharing how they each carry on President Bush’s commitment to public service in their own way, and how the extended Bush family parachute jumped to honor his love of adventure. If you missed the panels or want to re-watch, visit our website at https://lnkd.in/ehJjjYdd.   Finally, a special shoutout to Robert Earl Keen, Lyle Lovett, Max Stalling and the Texas A&M Yell Leaders for their amazing performances.   Next time you’re in College Station, we invite you to visit the now open Marine One/4141 Locomotive Pavilion at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum, where you can see the retired Marine One helicopter, Union Pacific 4141 Locomotive, and grab a bite to eat at Daisy’s Cafe. Happy centennial birthday, Mr. President. 🇺🇸   #41at100

  • What an exciting debut of Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Jon Meacham's latest book, "The Call to Serve: The Life of an American President." Meacham was joined by NYT bestselling author and former Chief of Staff for President Bush, Jean Becker, whose latest book, "Character Matters: And Other Life Lessons from George H.W. Bush," recently published as well. Their conversation was truly inspiring as they discussed their relationship with the Bush family along with engaging anecdotes. Don't forget, tomorrow is the 41@100 Community Celebration Day! There will be plenty of family-friendly events planned. Register at www.41at100.org/events. #BushFoundation #41at100 #BushLibrary

  • What a fascinating discussion between Secretary Robert M. Gates and Secretary Andrew H. Card, Jr. as part of today's Bush Administration Alumni Day. Their reflections on leadership, decision-making, and pivotal moments of the Bush administration were incredibly insightful. A recurring theme that came up was how President Bush was an empathetic human and leader. We have more exciting events lined up for our 41@100 celebration. Be sure to register at www.41at100.org/events. #BushFoundation #41at100 #BushLibrary
