Being able to translate for our spanish-speaking members has allowed her to help with transactions, guidance and explanation of services. Recently, Bourne Street manager Joni noticed a stranded vehicle on her way to work. She stopped and helped the lady push her car into our parking lot before heading on to work. There is that old saying about being "healthy and wealthy and wise", so #GKCU took it to heart with an employee Water & Walking health challenge. During the month of August, six teams of employees from all branches took to their feet and raised their water bottles to find ways to stay healthy. We had fun counting steps, refilling our cups and supporting each other in our journey.
