Advancing cancer care through partnerships and innovation.
About us
The Georgia Center for Oncology Research and Education was created in 2002 to advance cancer care and improve access through partnerships and innovation. Collaboration orchestrated by Georgia CORE leads to promising clinical research, new treatments, screening and navigation focused on reducing cancer disparities. The public private partnership is led by a board of experts and survivors from cancer centers, academic institutions and public health organizations united in their commitment to strengthen Georgia’s national leadership in cancer by improving quality of care for patients and quality of life for survivors.

Georgia CORE has been selected by Leadership Atlanta for one of its projects and they are looking at how to destigmatize cancer in the workplace. We met the project group and Ga CORE chair, Dr. Roland Matthews, who welcomed them to the Georgia Cancer Center for Excellence at Grady Health System for an “immersive experience” to learn the challenges at work when you or a loved one are diagnosed with cancer. We're very excited about what LA will produce!

Support Breast Cancer Awareness! Did you know that breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Georgia, accounting for 3 out of 10 new cancer diagnoses? Women in rural communities often have less access to the care they need. That’s why we need YOUR help! By purchasing a Georgia Breast Cancer License Plate, you're helping to fund education, screenings, and treatment for under-resourced women across the state. Join us in making a difference. Get your tag today! #BreastCancerAwareness # #GeorgiaCORE https://bit.ly/3fAYW6b
