We are pleased to welcome Brian McDaniel to the Georgia First Bank team as Assistant Vice President and Consumer and Small Business Lender for the Vidalia Market. A native of Wheeler County, Brian has called Vidalia home since 1998 and brings with him over 30 years of banking and business experience. His educational background includes studies at Brewton-Parker College and Georgia Southern University, as well as an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Southeastern Technical College. Brian is also a graduate of the prestigious Georgia Banking School at the University of Georgia. Outside of his professional life, Brian enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife Angie and their two sweet children, Tate and Dottie. In his spare time, he loves traveling, playing golf, grilling, entertaining, and watching college football. We are excited to have Brian’s expertise and leadership as part of our growing presence in Vidalia and look forward to his contributions to the community. Welcome aboard, Brian!!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Brandon Tapley, a Laurens County native with over 18 years of banking experience, has joined the Georgia First Bank family. A 2019 graduate of the University of Georgia’s Banking School, Brandon brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. Brandon has completed both the Community Bankers Association (CBA) of Georgia’s consumer and commercial lending programs. With a decade of experience as both a Consumer and Commercial Lender and as a Branch Manager, Brandon is well-equipped to support and serve our community’s financial needs. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Brandon is deeply committed to his community. He serves as Treasurer on the executive committee of the Dublin-Laurens County St. Patrick’s Festival Committee. Brandon and his wife, Chelsea Tapley, are proud parents of two children, Cash and Reagan.
