Happy to be back again. Supporting my former company Tasman Metals, now Leading Edge Materials, via my colleagues. Years ago since I was manager environment for the Kringelmine working with the tailings facility as the RTFE and the repermitting of the operation and not to forget one of the directors. Years later being involved in the updated PEA doing the co sign-off. I am sure Kurt Budge and Eric Krafft will succeed. A great asset. Would be a dream to see the mine in full operation again, everything is still there. Need of exploration support? Contact Albin Nordås or our exploration services manager Rickard Sundkvist. If you need graphite, well Kurt and Eric have plenty of it. I can assure you that. Been at the mine, done that at the mine. Still have a bottle of the flaky stuff at my desk in the office. Lastly. Remember the great Norra Kärr REE-project? Guess what, Leading Edge again. Happy to support that project too. This time I won't accept not succeeding. #LeadingEdge #Woxna #Exploration #OneGeosyntec #Mining #NorraKärr
It’s always satisfying to wrap up fieldwork before winter arrives in Sweden. This time, the focus was on conducting detailed reconnaissance mapping along sections of the 50 km graphite belt running from Månsberg in the south to Grabo in the west, in Hälsingland, Sweden. Within this belt lies Kringeltjärn, a mine that was active as late as 2015 and is currently owned by Woxna Graphite AB, which also holds several exploration licenses in the area. Given the increasing demand for critical raw materials like graphite, there’s hope the mine could reopen in the future. Establishing greater Swedish graphite production would provide a significant strategic advantage, especially considering the European Union's aims to reduce dependency on China for critical raw materials, and to create the conditions for greater raw materials independence, focusing on secure and sustainable supply chains. I was fortunate to spend a sunny week in the forest, savoring the last of the summer weather while uncovering some exciting finds amidst the beautiful scenery. And I’m definitely grateful that the "big fella" leaving the tracks wasn’t after the same resources I was! #Graphite #OneGeosyntec #Europe #Exploration #Mining
