Today we announce our financial results for the 3rd quarter of 2024.   We advanced in our strategy of improving competitiveness by optimizing our assets in Brazil, while recording an evolution in demand for steel in the Brazilian market in the period. This improvement in the market, however, did not result in greater volumes due to the scenario of excessive entry of long and flat steel into the country.   We remain focused on generating value for our customers and stakeholders through a complete portfolio of innovative steel products, solutions and services and the company’s commitment to building an even more sustainable future.   #ShapeTheFuture #GerdauResults

Last week, participants in our Helda Gerdau program attended a business operations learning week in Tampa, Florida. They received training in finance, strategy and risk management among other topics. This year Gerdau Special Steel hosted its second annual Volunteer Games. Eight teams participated in over 350 hours of volunteering throughout five weeks. Congratulations to our top three teams! Gerdau will be donating to charities of their choice in honor of their performance in the Volunteer Games. In third place is Steel Mill Blues from our Jackson, MI Downstream Operation. They have chosen to donate to Habitat for Humanity. In second place is the Do Gooders from our Fort Smith, AR Mill, who will be donating to the Girls Shelter of Fort Smith. And in first place is the HHT Wonder Women from our Huntington, IN Facility. They will donate to New Life Ministries. Each year, we process more than 3.8 million tons of scrap metal in North America. Gerdau won the Steelie Awards for the 3rd consecutive year, the top global award for the steel industry, promoted by the World Steel Association (worldsteel). The ceremony took place this week in Belgium and was attended by André Gerdau Johannpeter, Vice-Chairman of our Board of Directors. Our case “ESG in Supply Chain” won the “Excellence in Sustainability” category, which involved implementing an action plan to engage and encourage our suppliers to develop sustainable initiatives. Sustainability is a strategic pillar of our business and is at the center of Gerdau's decision-making, which makes us even more proud to celebrate this recognition! #ShapeTheFuture #SteelieAwards

Gerdau is proud to be a finalist for the industry’s main global award – the Steelie Awards, which is a recognition by the World Steel Association (worldsteel). Our 3rd annual Women Empowered Summit was held last week. This was our first ever virtual summit where we streamed the event live to attendees from our Petersburg, VA mill. Hosting this summit virtually allowed us to be more inclusive and expand our audience. This year we had over 350 registrants for the event and our locations held watch parties to increase engagement.
