About us
Ocra is for operators, by former operators. Before we were Ocra, we parked cars around the LA Coliseum for the stadium's many events. We experienced firsthand the challenges of staffing attendants, setting rates, managing inventory, and preventing slippage – plus all of the operational problems involved in using multiple sales channels. So, we built our centralized management platform – one single place for parking operators to log in to do all of their tasks. We massively reduce the amount of time it takes them to manage their current sales channels and we make it painless to scale with new ones so that they can sell more spots for higher yield. The outcome is that for the same amount of time and work it takes to log into one single seller console, operators can widely distribute all of their available inventory across multiple channels to sell their spaces for what they’re worth – no more static allocation across channels, and no more racing to the bottom with rates! We believe that a rising tide raises all ships, which is why it’s our mission to create connectivity between operators and their technology partners and orchestrate the open flow of data within the industry.

In his 2020 dissertation titled “An Empirical Investigation of the Effect of Mobile Channel Introduction on Parking Revenues”... ... industry leader Todd Tucker, JD, DBA, CAPP, CPP, President @ Parking Logix, empirically proves that using third-party reservations can yield substantial revenue growth for parking operators & asset owners. But he also flags a challenge: The largest impediment to this value creation is the cost of labor associated with managing rates/inventory for these channels.
