About us
***Office in St. Petersburg, Florida - Available by Appointment Only*** The Law Firm of Douglas G. Jackson is a full service law firm designed to focus on the needs of individual clients. The law firm serves good people who are in true and honest need of legal help. The legal services provided range from Veterans Disability representation to Social Security Disability representation, to drafting wills and powers of attorney, and many areas in between. In founding this law firm, Douglas G. Jackson realized that many regular Americans need a variety of legal services, but few law firms can offer those individual clients a full service package. Many law firms only specialize in one area of law, and when their clients need other legal help, the clients may be unable to find it. The Law Firm of Douglas G. Jackson helps good people in their various legal needs. Its clients may start as a disability client and then due to the financial stress and strain, end up requiring a divorce. Perhaps a client originally needs a will, but after attending a networking event gets pulled over and charged with a DUI. The Law Firm of Douglas G. Jackson represents and assists those clients whenever it is able to meet the demands of those good people in need of legal assistance.

📢 Important Update for Registered Volunteers of the Beach Clean-Up📢 We’ve just been informed by Keep Pinellas Beautiful that our upcoming event has been canceled. The city has decided to bring in contractors with heavy machinery to clear debris, and it’s been deemed too dangerous for volunteers at this time. But don’t worry! There’s another clean-up opportunity you can attend. While it’s not hosted by us, you’re welcome to join the St. Pete Tangerine Plaza Cleanup. For more details and to register, please visit: Event Link. We appreciate your willingness to help and hope to see you at future events! Thank you for your understanding and support.

As your community law firm, we deeply care about everyone affected by the hurricane and want you to know that your safety and well-being are our top priority. We are here to support you in any way possible as we all work through this recovery together. The office will remain closed today Friday 9/27. Now That the Hurricane Has Passed: Steps to Take if You Have Damage The hurricane has moved on, but recovery is just beginning. If your property was affected, here’s what you should do next: Ensure Safety First: Before assessing any damage, make sure it's safe to return to your home. Check for downed power lines, gas leaks, and structural damage. If your home was flooded, avoid entering until it's been deemed safe by local authorities. Document Everything: Take clear photos and videos of any damage to your property—both inside and out. This will be crucial for insurance claims and repairs. Contact Your Insurance Company: Reach out to your insurance provider as soon as possible to start the claims process. Provide them with all the documentation you’ve gathered. Make Temporary Repairs: If it’s safe to do so, make temporary repairs to prevent further damage, like covering broken windows or roof holes. Keep receipts for any materials used, as your insurance may reimburse you. Avoid Scams: Be cautious of contractors who show up unsolicited offering repairs. Always check credentials, verify licenses, and get written quotes before proceeding with any work. Stay Informed: Continue following local updates regarding power restoration, water safety, and any assistance programs available in your area. We’re here to support our community in the recovery process. Stay safe and reach out if you need any guidance.

As your community law firm, we prioritize the safety of our residents and commuters. Due to the current projected path of soon to be Hurricane Helene, we have made the decision to cancel our Lattes with a Lawyer event scheduled for this upcoming Thursday. We will continue to closely monitor the storm and provide updates on our office hours and any other pertinent information. In the meantime, we encourage you to take this opportunity to make the necessary preparations. It is always better to be over-prepared than to regret not being ready. Please know that we are here to support you through this time. Stay safe!
