On this Veterans Day, GETZ Transport Solutions proudly honors the remarkable military career of our Director of Business Development, Jason Taylor, MAS, who devoted over twenty-nine years of his life to serving our nation. Jason's journey began in 1993 when he enlisted in the Rhode Island Army National Guard as a dedicated Military Police Officer. In 1998, he served in Bosnia, supporting Operation Joint Forge, a vital mission under NATO's Stabilization Force (SFOR) aimed at maintaining peace in Bosnia-Herzegovina, per the Dayton Peace Accords. In April 2003, Jason's path led him to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During his deployment, he courageously served for over 101 days in the challenging terrain of Fallujah before being relieved by the 82nd Airborne Division. His unit's valor and dedication earned them the prestigious Valorous Unit Award for their unwavering service in Fallujah. In August 2005, Jason shifted his focus towards humanitarian efforts, providing assistance to the survivors of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. In 2008, Jason embarked on his third deployment, again to Iraq, where his exceptional service earned him The Bronze Star, a testament to his outstanding dedication and valor. From 2009 to 2022, Jason excelled in various high-profile logistics roles, including serving as the Support Operations Officer and Battalion S3 in the 119th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion from 2012 to 2018. Notably, in November 2017, Jason and his team provided life-saving aid in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria. In January 2018, he continued his remarkable career as the Battalion Operations Officer in the 250th Brigade Support Battalion, surpassing standards and providing invaluable logistical training. Jason's unwavering commitment to leadership and excellence in the field of logistics earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Distinguished Order of Saint Martin. This distinction is reserved for the elite few whose careers exemplify the spirit, dignity, and sense of sacrifice and commitment embodied by Saint Martin. Recipients of this award have so singularly distinguished themselves as contributors to the Quartermaster Corps that they have few peers. Jason's exceptional contributions have set him apart as a true luminary in the field of Logistics. At GETZ, Jason wears multiple hats, primarily serving as our Director of Business Development, while also excelling as an outstanding operations manager. He extends his mentorship to many of our operations personnel, sharing his wealth of experience, leadership, and operations expertise cultivated during his 29 years as a military leader. Today, we salute Jason for his extraordinary service to our country, and we are proud to have him as an invaluable member of our team.
