Today, we unveiled a new MDE and Visual Inspection exhibit at the MxD Innovation Center in Chicago with Google Cloud! The permanent fixture provides a hands-on look at our work together to enable U.S. manufacturers to capitalize on new AI and machine learning use cases. The demo showcases Google Cloud’s Manufacturing Data Engine in action as it brings together data from various disparate sources to automate key processes across the factory floor, including: ➡ Predictive Maintenance: Manufacturers are training AI models to analyze the health of their machinery across each of their factories, and deliver proactive alerts on any disruptions or inefficiencies before they happen. ➡ Production Forecasting: Manufacturers can use insights derived from across their operations to inform everything from future demand for products to the resources required to make them. ➡ Quality Control: Using a combination of visual AI and robotic technology, manufacturers can not only analyze outputs from all of their machines, but also remove any items from the production line that do not meet predetermined standards with the help of a robotic arm.
