As we celebrate Black History Month, kudos to George Whitehair of the Boston Legacy Society for helping share Dr. Frank Boston’s story locally and around the world. Dr. Frank Boston had an incredible impact on the medical and social services available in our community, including founding what is now Jefferson Lansdale Hospital and the Lansdale Volunteer Emergency Services Corps. Last night our Board and Staff had a great meeting to assess the work of our Strategic Plan and dream big about how we ensure the continued success of GHNPSS. We were joined by the volunteers from our Compass Pro Bono team; meeting all together for the first time as we embark on a 6-8 month journey to assess and improve our strategic marketing. One of our seniors made this beautiful cross-stitch dedicated to her husband and other Veterans at Encore Experiences. Another senior, who is a Veteran, donated the beautiful flag to The PEAK Center in honor of our Veterans. Today, we celebrate all Veterans who served our country. It is our privilege to welcome many Vets each day at both Encore and PEAK. Happy Veterans’ Day!
