Excited to share that now over 600 baristas, friends, community members, and even old bosses have joined Ghost Town Oats as investors through our WeFunder campaigns! Of course we had to shout them out in our interview with Shopify. When we say community first, we mean it. By partnering with Wefunder, we've made investing accessible for everybody starting at just $100, because building something for us means also making sure it's by us. As the year begins to close out, we'll be preparing to close out our second community round for good. Head on over to https://lnkd.in/gVbyVkdP to join our burgeoning community of investors who believe our oat milk deserves to be on every block. #CommunityOwned #EquityCrowdfunding #FoodAndBeverage #Entrepreneurship

When we looked at the data on lactose intolerance in Black and POC communities, we saw more than statistics - we saw an opportunity to create change through innovation. That's the origin story of Ghost Town Oats, and we're excited to share more about our journey on @Shopify's Shopify Masters Podcast. From market research to brand development, we discuss how understanding your audience can transform an idea into a movement. Happy National Oat Milk Day! 🥛 On this day, we're sitting in the gratitude of the progress we've made thus far in 3.5 years. Between projection-breaking revenue, expanded reach to new blocks in NYC, DC, Canada, & Mexico (speaking of ‘every block’, find out if Ghost Town Oats is on yours with our Ghost Tracker (bit.ly/GTOTracker), powered by Google Maps!), and obtaining a number of certifications that allow more people to enjoy our delicious oat milk, to say we're proud would be an understatement. It goes to show that if a squad of baristas can build a brand, learn along the way, and fight fearlessly to operate what they know will stand the test of time, you can do ANYTHING! 🚀 Now, we need your help to do that! On this National Oat Milk Day, we're calling on our community to help amplify our ongoing WeFunder campaign. We're 91% of the way there and two weeks from the deadline! Our next investor could be in your network — a quick repost is all we need! Whether you've been along for the ride since the beginning or just now learning about us, thank you for supporting Ghost Town Oats! https://lnkd.in/gr-YTeZZ

Congratulations to our CEO for receiving the inaugural Rose Nicaud Award from the Coffee Coalition for Racial Equity earlier this month in Chicago! Her words and actions brought the topic of racial diversity and inclusion in the coffee industry to light through The Chocolate Barista, and continues now on a larger scale here at Ghost Town Oats. We are so proud! 🌹
Just a couple days from landing back in Los Angeles after attending the Specialty Coffee Association Global Expo in Chicago feeling honored to be a part of this industry. Couldn’t be more excited to announce my recent award win at the inaugural First Sip ceremony, in which the Coffee Coalition for Racial Equity awarded me their honorable Rose Nicaud Award. Rose was the first documented black woman in coffee who bought her freedom from slavery via coffee – she’s also a notable part of New Orleans’ overall history – so much so that Café du Monde was built on the spot that Rose had her coffee cart in the 1800s. New Orleans also holds a soft spot in my heart personally and professionally as my first-ever specialty coffee job was at a New Orleans café in Virginia. All the love always to David Guas and the krewe over at Bayou Bakery. I look forward to continuing to pave the way for a more inclusive coffee culture and hope to inspire others to follow their dreams and pursue things that may seem, even in 2024, beyond reach. I can tell you first-hand: when you believe in yourself, dreams really do come true.

We think it's safe to say that the larger mission of Ghost Town Oats is to show the power of baristas' influence on wider consumer trends in food. It's one thing to invite baristas to provide feedback on a set-in-stone product. It's completely another when the baristas are a part of it every step of the way because they ARE the brand. Our success is a testament to this power, and we've got more steam to let off for the rest of this journey. Thank you Plant Based World Pulse for featuring our story!
Ghost Town Oats is an emerging star revolutionizing the way baristas and coffee enthusiasts alike think about oat milk. The company’s early success story is remarkable, with 1 million units sold in the first 10 months, propelling Ghost Town Oats to clear $1 million in revenue within its inaugural year. #oatmilk #alternativemilk #coffeeindustry Read here 👉 https://lnkd.in/e3bqPRQZ

I had a fun time at the International Housewares Association's The Inspired Home Show! Wonderful to say hi to Christy Rost (at the Microplane USA booth), Eric J. Grimm (Ghost Town Oats) at Gourmia , and Tom Mirabile (Springboard Futures) at the show. The 3-day show was held at Chicago’s McCormick Place. I took selfies at the madesmart® and Satin Fine Foods, Inc. booths and attended MADE BY GATHER’s Happy Hour. Learned about Bed, Bath & Beyond’s future direction from Marcus Lemonis (Beyond, Inc.) and Chandra Holt (Bed Bath & Beyond). A big thank you to the IHA’s friendly Press Room staff (including Lynne W., Kenya, and Morgan) for helping me shoot TikTok videos in the room! Disclosures: I received free Ghetto Gastro Toaster Pastries from Made by Gather and an apron from Jennifer Ellis at MUkitchen (that I wore in my videos). #TIHS24

As we continue to grow our presence in foodservice, it’s a no brainer to introduce Transcendence Coffee every time we land a new account. Innovative, inclusive, clean ingredients & A+ taste syrups paired with Couplet Coffee + Ghost Town Oats is an absolute banger everytime. Go Mitalee Bharadwaj!! ☕️🚀
Excited to say that after trialing Transcendence Coffee syrups at Snap Inc. LA corporate cafes, we'll now be officially rolling out to sweeten up their coffee program. I wanted to highlight and shoutout that this happened because of a fellow founder friend Gefen Skolnick who's serving Couplet Coffee in their espresso bars ‼️ Couplet hosts some of the best coffee pop-ups in LA and, despite being across the country, we're always collaborating and serving up Gulab Jamun lattes at their events. There's been a lot of conversation recently about uplifting people in your founder circles and communities. Of course, I'm thrilled about this milestone for Transcendence, but I'm more proud of us, as two Gen-Z founders, coming together to show the next generation of collaboration in coffee! ❤️
