Today is Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day! Meet Shannon Castro, our Registered Dietitian, at Gila Regional Medical Center. Shannon grew up in Las Cruces, NM and recently lived in Anchorage, Alaska before coming to Silver City. She has been a vegetarian for over 30 years. She and her husband love to read, listen to music and go to concerts. Shannon’s favorite food is doughnuts! We are pleased to announce that Dr. Steffanie Leslie has joined the exceptional team at Gila Regional Medical Center! With nearly a decade of experience in Family Medicine, Dr. Leslie is ready to bring her expertise and compassionate care to the Silver City community. A graduate of the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, she previously practiced at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital in Alaska. Dr. Leslie shared her excitement about joining the team: “GRMC was incredibly responsive when I submitted my resume.
