G&A was thrilled to be a part of the renovation of the Jeffersonville Golf Course in Norristown, PA! Providing all site civil design and assisting with securing grant funding, G&A teamed with KCBA Architects to make this beautiful new property a reality for West Norriton Township and the community to enjoy for generations to come! Amazing things can be accomplished when you have a great team, many G&A staff including Erik Garton and Ed Brown, as well as the KCBA Architects team, State Reps Matt Bradford and Joseph G. Webster, State Senator Amanda Cappelletti, and the entire team at West Norriton Township.
Yesterday we held the formal ribbon cutting for our new facility at Jeffersonville Golf Club. This project wouldn't have happened without the support of Rep. Joe Webster and Rep. Matt Bradford who secured $4.75 million in RACP funding for our project. In June, Jeffersonville Golf Club was named the No. 7 public course in Pennsylvania, according to Golfweek. But anyone who has been on site recently knows that Jeffersonville has evolved into much more than a golf course. In early June, Jeffersonville opened The Burgess Restaurant & Bar. The restaurant opened just weeks after the opening of six state-of-the-art Trackman Golf simulators for public rental, lessons, fittings and parties. Now matching its world-class golf course with top-notch amenities, Jeffersonville has truly evolved into a community hub. “We had a vision for Jeffersonville more than seven years ago, thinking about what the golf course could become for the people in this community,” said Jason Bobst, West Norriton Township Manager. “We were thrilled to see it come together after so much work and planning. Now, we’re excited for our residents to experience the outstanding food and drink and activities — regardless if they are golfers or not.” The Burgess is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days per week, offering daily specials and frequent promotions. Golfers and non-golfers alike are encouraged to visit The Burgess to experience its tremendous, diverse menu in a casual, welcoming environment. The restaurant’s food choices range from wings and burgers to pasta and seafood and a full range of draft beers and mixed drinks — meaning the restaurant has something for everyone whether that be for lunch or late night (or anything in between). The six simulators are stationed at The Stables, set up at the basement of the new clubhouse. The Stables also features a bar with light food options and a solid offering of drinks. Finally, a full-service banquet facility is open on site to provide opportunities for corporate events, large gatherings, weddings, and more. As always, Jeffersonville focuses on the golf course and its high-level conditioning, maintaining the quality that has made the course so popular in recent years. Recently the course opened a new putting green that elevates the golfing experience for all players who step on site. A bright, well-stocked Pro Shop also adds to that. In the meantime, the course continues to focus on sustainability with beekeeping, mowing practices and much more. This helps keep the classic Donald Ross design in good shape for the 50,000-plus rounds that take place on an annual basis.
