Inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.
About us
One of the wisest things society can do is empower today's girls. After all, girls and women make up 51% of the population! It is important for the women of tomorrow to be responsible, motivated adults who will inspire future generations to succeed. Since 1954, Girls Incorporated of Orange County has utilized research-based programs to transform the lives of thousands of girls by giving them the skills to become confident, successful, and independent women. By offering age-appropriate, research-based programs, Girls Incorporated of Orange County helps girls deal effectively with a variety of issues that they face in today's world. These programs give girls the confidence to do things previous generations of women have only dreamed of or not known were possible: pursuing careers in science, math, or technology; avoiding the traps of teen pregnancy, drugs, and violence; staying healthy in body and mind; and asserting their point of view with confidence. We are the people and the place that help girls succeed!

Last week, our Chief Development Officer, Jennifer Seislove, had the opportunity to participate in the New Strategies Program, an advanced training program designed to help nonprofits generate funds. New Strategies is conducted by Georgetown University’s Business for Impact. Executives in the program learned from leaders in the nonprofit and philanthropy fields, Georgetown business school faculty, and each other on topics designed to help nonprofits generate and manage financial growth. Ongoing access to expert speakers and networking among the nonprofit executives is a hallmark of New Strategies. We are grateful to PIMCO who made it possible for us to participate. There is no application to apply to New Strategies, so being named by PIMCO is itself an honor. Jennifer's participation in this program enhances Girls Inc. of Orange County's ability to inspire and empower girls to be strong, smart, and bold in their communities and beyond. #GirlsIncOC #StrongSmartBold #NewStrategiesProgram
