📣Coach Posey and Coach Lemon reporting for duty! These paw-some coaches are here to give some tips so you are race day ready! ➡️Arrive early! It will be crowded, so allow time to find your group or check-in. ➡️Lay your clothes out the night before the race. Participants should wear their PURPLE Girls on the Run t-shirt. ➡️Eat a light breakfast! Give your body time to digest breakfast, about two or three hours before the race. Some great options are toast, cereal, or bananas. ➡️Drink water two hours before the start of the race. Don’t over-hydrate as it could cause cramping. ➡️Go to the restroom before the race starts. 🚨DENVER TEAMS: Runners will be released by waves (noted by a NUMBER on GOTR program participants’ bibs). Stay with your team and wait until your corral is called to move forward. Find your happy pace! Don’t go too fast. ✨Stretch, breathe, and have fun. You got this!

The Community Impact Project is meant to be completely driven by the team, so participants work together to think of small acts that they can all do to help their community shine. As a team, they will discuss the resources they have, the skills they have, and ultimately decide on how they will make an impact together. 💕 Stay tuned to see what these amazing teams do to help their community shine this season! 💡

Did you know that each season EVERY Girls on the Run team participates in a Community Impact Project that they design? This element of our curriculum is a local service project done by the teams to help their community shine brighter! ⭐️ To start, participants create a map to better understand who and what makes up their unique community. This map can include places like their local library and people like their cafeteria employees. Participants are learning to recognize how each unique person, place, and thing helps their community shine! ⭐️
