  • Did you know that most donation platforms used by Fortune 500 companies today hold onto your generous contributions for 30-60 days before sending them to charities. Company matching gifts? Those can take 90-180 days! We think your kindness deserves better. That's why at Groundswell, we've made it our mission to get donations into the hands of charities within just 24 hours. Because when you give, you want to make a difference right away! Why does this matter? When donations arrive faster: - Charities can put resources to work immediately - Donor impact is felt sooner - The giving experience improves for everyone Learn why timely donations should be the new standard: https://lnkd.in/geNsuZTt #corporategiving #socialimpact #CSR #donations

After chatting with some potential customers, we recently discovered something surprising. Most platforms in our space can only automatically match recurring donations when they're made through payroll giving. And if you've ever tried to set up payroll giving on these platforms, you know it can be a frustrating experience (requiring AP teams, reconciliations, spreadsheets, and emails)—so much so that many companies don't even activate this feature. At Groundswell, we've taken a different approach. Our users can create recurring donations to as many charities as they'd like through: - ACH transfers (zero fees) - Credit/debit cards (standard processing fee) - Payroll giving (zero fees) The best part? 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻. This past weekend alone, we processed thousands of recurring donations and their corresponding matches. It feels good to do good on autopilot! And it feels even better knowing we're making corporate giving accessible and frictionless for everyone involved. Sometimes on prospect calls I feel like a therapist. I'll ask the CSR leader over Zoom, "What could be better about your current vendor?" They'll rattle off a several functional things that drive them crazy before rolling their eyes and saying, "But I tell you what - it's the terrible customer support that drives me most insane." Then the flood gates open. They just start TALKING. I mean, they go off with stories of absurd interactions, bad tooling, stonewalling tactics, surprise fees, and on and on and on. At a certain point they stop and say, "Sorry about that!" World class customer support comes down to a few things: 1. Make it a priority 2. Build a product that WORKS, so that people don't even need support 3. Build a culture that proactively solves problems 4. Make support a shared responsibility 5. Lift up your support team internally to be as important as any other function 6. Make it a priority (that one is worth repeating) Overworked and underappreciated CSR admins deserve better. Groundswell is proud to have the highest rated customer support in the industry. We do it because we relentlessly follow the above playbook. It's not rocket science (and even if it was, we have a rocket scientist on staff ... Sarah Kuntsal 🤓 ) So if you want to look good in front of your boss, give us a call. #CSR #socialimpact #corporatesocialresponsibility #customersupport #accountmanagement #saas #startup #entrepreneurship #strategy #groundswell

  • We're excited to share our newest case study on how BrightSpire Capital, Inc. transformed their employee giving program! When BrightSpire Capital went through some organizational changes recently, they faced a critical decision: continue with their existing legacy giving platform or find a solution better aligned with their new identity. The challenges they faced with their previous platform were significant: - Difficult navigation for employees - Lack of transparency in donation processing - Weeks-long delays in fund distribution - Poor administrative support - High costs that didn't match service quality After evaluating alternatives, they chose Groundswell for its: ✅ Intuitive mobile-first interface ✅ Real-time matching visibility ✅ 24-hour donation distribution ✅ Responsive customer support ✅ Enhanced employee engagement tools The results? Higher participation rates, especially during key giving events, simplified administration, and a more accessible giving experience that employees can engage with anytime, anywhere. "The system works. It's easy. It's manageable. You're able to get the feedback and the support that you need," says Falisha Indarjit, program administrator at BrightSpire Capital. Access the full case study in the comments to learn how the right technology can make corporate philanthropy both more accessible and more impactful!

  • The truth about CSR platform fees isn't always what it seems at first glance. Many legacy CSR platforms proudly advertise their "low" fee percentages, but there's often more to the story. When these platforms outsource donation disbursement through third-party networks, 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐜𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬' 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. So while a platform might claim they only take 3% of your donation (which is already on the higher side), the critical question becomes: 👉 Who else is taking what? There's absolutely nothing wrong with fees—they're necessary to maintain quality services. At Groundswell, we charge them too (just 1%, among the lowest in the sector). But what matters most is transparency. Clear, honest communication about fees is essential to maintaining trust in the nonprofit sector. When evaluating CSR platforms, look beyond the advertised percentage and ask about the complete fee structure, including any third-party charges that might be passed along to your donations. Your generosity deserves full transparency. #CSR #SocialImpact #CorporateGiving #CorporateVolunteering #Philanthropy #Nonprofit

"$#*@!!!!! ...😡... 😤... " 👈 Is that how you react every time you interact with customer support at your current social impact platform vendor? You're not alone. Sometimes I feel like a therapist on calls with prospects as they unload years of frustration onto me, a stranger. That's why I ABSOLUTELY FREAKIN' LOVE getting emails like this one, sent by the VP-level admin at one of our newest enterprise customers: "I was going to share this story with your team - but I’ll tell you: Yesterday my boss mentioned he had processed a couple of matches and was very impressed with how easy it was, the customer service he got and how quickly it was all completed. He (half) joked that he wondered if his name was on a list as someone to get special VIP treatment (which is something he’d hate and I’d never do). I assured him he’s not on any VIP list - and that’s just how good it is for everyone." Listen up, people -- you deserve better. Let's chat about how you can look like a hero (and curse less) with Groundswell. #Groundswell #CSR #socialimpact #corporatesocialresponsibility #customersupport #customerservice #saas #startup #entrepreneurship

  • Corporate social responsibility (CSR) isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s a must-have for engaging employees, strengthening company culture, and making a real impact. But as more organizations scale their CSR initiatives, managing them efficiently becomes a challenge, and administrators can quickly be overwhelmed by manual processes. That’s where a well-designed CSR platform can come in and save the day. The right platform can: ✅ Centralize program management (donations, grants, volunteering, EAF & more) ✅ Increase employee engagement with an easy-to-use user experience that's accessible to all ✅ Automate admin tasks and streamline reporting ✅ Scale with your company’s evolving social impact goals Not all CSR platforms are built the same. In our latest article, we break down what to look for when choosing one—including key features, integrations, and red flags to avoid. Ready to level up your CSR strategy?

  • Almost every day, we hear the same pain point from potential clients during product demos: 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐭𝐲. If they're using legacy software to manage their programs, they've grown tired of how complicated it is to set up, and their employees don't like (or remember) to use it. And for companies managing their programs manually, they're drowning in spreadsheets and emails. We hear that they're: - Struggling with systems that don't communicate - Spending hours on endless manual data entry - Tired of having to reach out to customer service for everything - Ready to ditch repetitive monthly tasks that consume valuable team hours The root cause? Antiquated tools that have been cobbled together and weren't designed with user experience in mind. If your team is spending more time managing software than actually executing your programs, it might be time to reimagine your approach. Innovation isn't just about new features—it's about simplifying how work gets done. Ready to make your work life more simple?
