GLCT's CEO, Keith Evans, represented Great Lakes Crystal Technologies at the America's Seed Fund Road Tour on July 15th at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center in East Lansing. Hosted by BBC Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting (BBCetc) and the MSU Research Foundation, this event brought together technology developers, innovation support programs, and SBIR/STTR program directors from across all technology sectors. We are proud to announce that Dr. Timothy Grotjohn, GLCT’s technical founder and MSU professor, has been inducted into The National Academy of Inventors (NAI) for its 2023 class. This honor recognizes his pioneering research in diamond process and device innovation. Dr. Grotjohn, along with the other 2023 Fellows will be honored at the NAI 13th Annual Meeting on June 18, 2024, in Raleigh, NC. Tim’s work includes 70 journal papers, 250 conference papers, and 14 patents. He has advanced the diamond growth process and is now developing larger single-crystal diamond wafers in collaboration with GLCT and Michigan State University. NAI Fellows are celebrated for transforming research into technologies that benefit society. Collectively, their breakthroughs have created 1 million jobs and generated over $3 trillion in revenue.
