Today, we celebrated the amazing work Cecil Williams Community Ambassadors have been doing to build community and beautify our neighborhood! 🧡 Ambassadors shared their stories of overcoming adversity and helping our street communities do the same. Ambassadors have prevented overdose deaths and helped homeless people find housing. Shireen McSpadden, the Executive Director of the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, shared words of support for the program and GLIDE Ensemble sang a beautiful song in the ambassador's honor. Thanks to everyone who made it out today. Thanks to our ambassadors for walking eight miles of our streets every day, taking care of everyone you meet. We were so happy to cut the ribbon on our new community parklet, a relaxing place with benches and plants where people can rest and make friends. These placemaking initiatives are GLIDE's way of celebrating the beauty, liveliness, and vitality of the TL. We want the TL to be a place where people get connected to each other and to new opportunities. Ambassadors are making it happen. #GlideUncondtionally
