Hi! 👋 I’m Lucas MALGUY, a Glide Expert and... Low code developer at U-neo | Agence Digitale, a Parisian Digital Agency. Today, I take over this LinkedIn to tell you the story of how I fell in love with Glide and no code. ▶ Discovering Glide My journey with Glide started 5 years ago as an Operations & Project Manager in a startup. We needed to build an affordable digital platform to enhance operations and customer experience, but traditional agencies were too expensive. Glide came to the rescue, allowing us to create a working prototype in weeks and transforming our approach to software development. Since then, I've been fully immersed in the #nocode space, continually learning and growing, and I'm thrilled to be part of this community. ▶ Why I do this No code allows us to empower every company and individual. At U-neo, our mission is to leverage no code solutions such as Glide to provide our clients with custom-made, secure, and scalable software that significantly impacts their business. ▶ Why I choose Glide Don’t tell my girlfriend, but I fell in love with Glide. This is the only platform that allowed me to run and support entire businesses at light-speed and at a fraction of the cost of what the legacy Dev agencies would have cost. We’ve come a long way since the beginning of Glide, and I can’t wait to see what we’ll be able to build in the coming years. Glide literally gave us superpowers. ▶ Not using no code yet? Like any tool, Glide isn’t perfect for every project, but it’s incredibly powerful and versatile for many—especially business use cases—so you are probably missing out if you're not using it. Start simply by going through the Glide community, documentation, and play with a Glide template. But be careful, you will probably fall in love with it as well… ▶ What I'm building Currently, we’re working on a SaaS solution for Parisian restaurants. We’re really excited about this project as it’ll have a wide impact. But mostly because it’s technically interesting and challenging. I'm responsible for research processes in the field of large language models and decision process automation within the mining, energy, and construction industries. ➨ How I use Glide I have been using Glide for the past three years to automate my team's tasks and keep our clients informed about their projects. This platform has enabled us to streamline our workflows by creating customized applications that cater to our specific needs without requiring extensive coding knowledge. With Glide, we have been able to integrate various data sources and automate routine processes, which has significantly reduced the time spent on administrative tasks. Additionally, Glide's user-friendly interface allows us to easily update and share project statuses with our clients, ensuring they are always up-to-date with the latest developments. This not only enhances our team's efficiency but also improves client satisfaction by providing transparent and timely communication. ➨ Not using no code? Here's my advice: My advice for those who haven't yet tried building no-code apps is to start by identifying a genuine problem or user pain point you want to solve. Begin with a small, manageable project and gradually add elements as you iterate based on user feedback. Focus your development on the user experience and stay updated with the latest advancements in the no code world. Once you start, you won't want to stop. I love cooking, and making teas and skin care products with what grows in my garden. ➨ How I discovered no code I was looking for a platform where I could use my skills in Excel and Google Sheets to design low cost #nocode apps to gather data from the field, interact with our customers, and track KPI's in real time. I was looking for a solution that would be able to meet us where we were at and then grow with us. The Soil Farmer app allows composters to keep track of their compost piles, feedstocks, lifecycles, temperatures, turns and curing. We have an app for our subscribers and members who compost with Food2Soil. It allows them to locate the drop-off hubs throughout the city, get access to the cart lock codes, report service issues and also educate themselves on composting process. I have also built an app for my farmer friends to help them optimize the operations of their farm. The app is a solution for farmers who want to understand the profitability of the crops they plant, the time they spend on various activities from planting to harvesting, and allows them to use past seasons as a guide to future crop planning. ➨ Not using no code?
