Practice mindfulness and meditation. 2. Connect with loved ones regularly. 3. Exercise regularly. 4. Limit Screen time. 5. Find a hobby or activity you love. 6. As we kick off Disability Employment Awareness Month we want to share some best practices AND some common pitfalls to avoid. Best Practices: 👉 Provide tools and resources for employees with disabilities 👉 Conduct training. Find your pain points and address them. 👉 Engage your employee resource group. 👉 Update policies and procedures 👉 Communicate progress. Tell your employees what has been accomplished since last year. Avoid these pitfalls: 🛑 Do nothing. Employees will notice if you do nothing. 🛑 Don't do a self id campaign along with open enrollment. 🛑 Don't have legal drive your disability initiative. It will feel compliance focused. 🛑 Don't conduct simulations where activities try to raise awareness about a disability by "trying it on". 🛑 Don't over commit.
