We're still in awe by all of the creative installations we saw at the 2024 Seattle Design Festival! GLY and BrandSafway teamed up with Perkins&Will for this year's annual event. In response to the prompt "What If...?", Perkins&Will posed the question, "What if the built environment was reimagined as a framework for nature?" Our collaborative effort resulted in KOMOREBI (n), a captivating reinterpretation of sunlight filtering through leaves. The installation featured an open scaffolding structure with suspended, colored salvaged plexiglass panels that created a mesmerizing play of light and shadow, with patterns shifting as the day progressed. We had a fantastic time working with our talented design partners and the dedicated team that brings the SDF to life every year. We’re already excited for next year’s challenge and the opportunities it will bring! Josh Lewis, Hannah Cayen, Mounica Guturu, Kevin Corrigan, Phil Kessler, Steve Smith, Aparna Pillai, Yingjing Ma, Valeria Masciotti, and Colin Park.
