5-step method for easy GTM alignment. (Even if your stakeholders won’t accept your meetings.) 👇 Alignment is one of the biggest challenges in Go-to-Market. Steal this 5-step process to achieve alignment more easily and rapidly iterate to improve your products post-launch: ✅ Give proof, not promises. To get people bought-in, you need to sell them on your Big Idea. All the same rules apply here as they do to selling to customers. Why should they care? What’s in it for them? Speak in terms of benefits, rather than features. And proof, rather than promises. Even when communicating internally. ✅ Set up a clear, streamlined communication channel. Don’t blur the lines here. This channel is for feedback only. Meet people where they already are. Most often, that’s Slack or Teams. Don’t try to move people to a different platform. Don’t create friction. ✅ Crowdsource your data collection efforts. To improve, you need feedback. But you can’t be everywhere at once. Small efforts from many people add up to masses amounts of useful data. Data that can have an outsized impact on the quality of your products. When people see their smallest efforts to pass on feedback in a Slack channel paying off, they’ll be that much more likely to volunteer for higher effort tasks down the line. ✅ Collect, aggregate, and analyze feedback. You’re sick of hearing about AI, but you’re pushed for time. Text analysis on huge amounts of text data is one of AI’s strengths. Use it to aggregate, categorize, and analyze the feedback you get through your channel. This frees up your time and attention, allowing you to stay above the fray, think strategically, and keep on top of communication with stakeholders. ✅ Prioritize feedback topics according to ROI You can only work on one thing at a time. So work on the right things. Take your aggregated feedback and ask these qs: • How often is the problem fed back? • How strong is the impact on customers? • What will it cost the company to implement? Work the most important topics into your roadmap. This sets you up to see ROI as early as possible. Your early wins act as further proof for the strength and value of your initiatives, making it easier to win future buy-in. (Credit to Tanwistha Gope for the insights!) P.S. Struggling for GTM alignment? Try these 5 special strategies 👇 All good GTM pros know this. Without alignment, your Go-to-Market efforts will feel 10x harder. And your results? 10x worse. You need to collaborate to win. But you’re plagued by: • Siloed working 🗼 • Shifting competitive landscapes 🏂 • Shifting structures within your growing org ⏳ How are you supposed to collaborate in the face of all that? The first step is to make sure you’re using these 5 trusted techniques 👇 1) Establish shared goals and metrics 📈 You need everyone rallying around the same objectives. That means measuring and incentivizing different teams to achieve the same end. Metrics could include: • Revenue targets, • Customer acquisition costs, • Customer lifetime value. 2) Create a customer-centric revenue cycle 🛍️ Map out your entire revenue cycle from the customer's perspective. Then figure out where it’s weak. 🙅♂️ This is the only way to fix it. Having empathy for the customer at each stage makes it crystal clear: • Where your processes need improving, • Which touchpoints need strengthening, 3) Develop a comprehensive GTM handbook 📖 This should be your go-to resource for everything GTM-related in your organization. Use it to outline the *why, how, and what* you do to get and keep customers. 4) Create a shared vocabulary 🗣️ Ensure everyone uses the same terms and definitions when discussing GTM strategies. This will make sure nothing is lost in translation. 5) Hold regular alignment meetings 🤝 Hold a meeting every week or two to ensure ongoing communication and alignment. Keys here: 🔑 Set an agenda. 🔑 Collect talking points beforehand. 🔑 Create pre-reading materials. Also: Share your wins to build momentum. Regular meetings that are *ineffective* actually hurt buy-in. But done right? They add oil to your GTM machine. P.S. Do you do all of these? Which strategy is your favorite? #gotomarket #alignment #collaboration

So many Go-to-Market teams get this wrong. 👇 Working tirelessly on strategy… Making sure you’re solving important customer problems… Only to see lackluster numbers in the dashboard. ❌ This isn’t anyone’s idea of a dream launch scenario. 👆 So how do you avoid it? Here’s one idea… By refusing to ignore one of the biggest levers for GTM success: Competitive positioning. ✅ You know all about positioning. How important it is… But “competitive positioning” carries with it an all-important reframe: “No product exists in a vacuum.” Like it or not, prospects are sizing you up in relation to what they know *already*. So… • Where do competing solutions fall short? • Where do they leave customers wanting? • And how do you fill *those* gaps? No matter how well you speak to customers’ pain points… You *must* differentiate. Nail your competitive positioning. #competitivepositioning #gotomarket #gtmsuccess P.S.
