Growing opportunities for adult learners by driving innovation and connections throughout our learning systems.
About us
Our collective mission is to triple the number of adults achieving their educational goals by 2025 and create a network able to better serve more people. By identifying opportunities, understanding barriers, and making data-informed decisions around future programming and other needs, the GOAL Collective is working to get the right learner in the right seat at the right time. Formerly known as Adult Education Collective Impact (AECI), we are a group of adult education providers collaborating in design and technology to build a central network with shared data and streamlined referrals, to ultimately create a system that will be able to better serve all learners seeking services within Nashville, TN.

Research repeatedly shows that the ROI for adult education is not only realized by adult learners, but also the economy at large. Graduates of Indiana's Excel Program increased earnings by 40% in five years with a 22% increase in continuous employment within an industry during that time. Students who earn more, and do so consistently, pay more taxes, so state funders recoup their costs over a work life. https://lnkd.in/gyygeg9F

GOAL Collective looks forward to partnering with more companies like LKQ Corporation that understand the long term value of investing in adult education and workforce development on the front-end of the employment process!
Accountability and accessibility - As a community, we can’t move the needle without follow-through. Most employers surveyed in our Nationwide Employer Survey Report agree that low literacy affects team productivity, introducing challenges with communication, leading to greater turnover, and causing some employers to overcompensate. It’s imperative that employers provide adequate resources and literacy skills support for employees. We can work with employers in navigating this issue and hold ourselves accountable along with the rest of the #ALLIN collective to fight for literacy skills as workforce skills. Since launching the Provider Directory this past month, we've been asked, "How can we list our classes in your directory?" And, "How will you keep this information up-to-date?" The answer to both questions is: 🙌GREAT RELATIONSHIPS!🙌 Collective impact relies upon a shared agenda, shared measurements, continuous communication, and mutually reinforcing activities. These components are only successful when trusting relationships marked by integrity are at the center of our work. So, we anticipate our partners will keep their information up-to-date, and we confidently share their programs with you! If you are an adult education provider in the Nashville area, and this kind of network sounds like a boost for your agency, we want to partner with you!
