Founded in 1956 - Goettle is a Design - Build Construction Company. Specializing in Deep Foundations, Earth Retention and Marine Construction. Our goal as an industry leader is to provide value beyond the completed construction project. Solid engineering, state of the art equipment, innovative construction techniques, creative problem solving and many years of experience are the hallmarks of what Richard Goettle, Inc. has to offer its clients. We seek to earn the trust and respect of our clients by providing both quality and value through the thoughtful integration of engineering and design disciplines, and by building lasting relationships as evidenced through the clients who repeatedly request our services on their projects.     Meet Doug Keller, celebrated as one of the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award honorees at the upcoming Spirit of Construction Foundation Gala. Hailing from Northern Kentucky, Keller boasts a rich educational background with degrees in Physics and Civil Engineering from Northern Kentucky University, the University of Kentucky, and the University of Cincinnati, where he also pursued Ph.D. studies. Doug initially gained experience during college at the US EPA and GJ Thelen & Associates before formally starting his professional journey at Goettle in 1988, where he would eventually become President and CEO by 2004. Under his leadership, the company, specializing in deep foundations, expanded significantly to nearly $250 million in revenue, stretching its operations into new markets across several states from Texas to Massachusetts. Doug Keller, a licensed Professional Engineer in over 15 states, was named the Young Engineer of the Year in 1995 by the Engineers and Scientists of Cincinnati. His professional engagement extends to multiple industry associations such as the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Deep Foundation Institute (DFI), Pile Driver Contractors Association (PDCA), and the International Association of Drilled Shaft Contractors (ADSC). Doug's commitment extends beyond his professional duties, emphasizing the creation of a family-like culture at work where caring for the company and each other is paramount. This approach nurtures enduring relationships within the industry and champions the intertwining of work and personal connections, mirroring the core values upheld by his company.     It is with great sadness that we share with you that Dan Stack, our Safety Manager working on a confidential project in Columbus, OH, passed away suddenly Friday morning at his home in Pittsburgh. Dan was one of our newer employees for our Safety Department, starting in November of 2023. He was 51 years old. Dan was going to be our first full-time Safety Manager based out of our Pittsburgh Office, once he was done on the Columbus project. Surviving Dan are his wife Sue, 3 children, and 3 dogs. Arrangements are as follows: viewing at Thoma Funeral Home, 10418 Perry Highway, Wexford, PA 15090, Monday 5/13 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Tuesday 5/14 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with the Firefighter Service at 7:00 PM. Mass will be Wednesday 5/15 at 10:00 AM at St. Alexis Church - St. Aiden Parish, 10090 Old Perry Highway, Wexford, PA 15090. Please keep Dan’s family, friends, coworkers, and fellow firefighters in your thoughts and prayers.

    Happy Daylight Savings Time!!! Not only does this mean that we are one step closer to the 1st day of Spring, but let’s be sure to change our smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector batteries!!! Also not a bad time to review your emergency escape plan with your family. Have a family meeting place (ours is the mailbox at the end of the driveway in front of the house). Always know 2 ways out!!! Have a Safe and Productive week!!! (Ps. If you didn’t know, one of my hobbies over the past 37 years has been being a volunteer Firefighter, strong emphasis on Fire Prevention!!!)
