Tomorrow is #DAFDay! DAFs are a powerful tool for positive change, and we’ve joined the movement to raise awareness and inspire DAF donors to lean into their power to support disaster relief, education, food security, and other vital causes. With DAFDay approaching, we encourage DAF donors to:  Give with intention – Choose causes that resonate with your values.  Support nonprofits that rely on your generosity to fuel their missions.  Be part of something bigger – Together, we can create lasting change! Right now, we have a Hurricane Relief Fund in urgent need of support. You can make a significant difference by donating to this fund directly from your DAF. We’ve sent out over 450 grants to survivors of Hurricane Helene, and will continue to do more every day as money comes into this fund. Every dollar gets us closer to another grant for someone who desperately needs assistance. Your intentional giving helps ensure we can respond to crises, sustain programs, and reach the most vulnerable populations. Thank you. Ready to give? Tomorrow, donate from your DAF and make a lasting impact. https://lnkd.in/gupmhv2g #DAFDay #DAFGiving #CharitableGiving #IntentionalGiving #NonprofitSupport #Philanthropy

The GoFundMe community has rallied to lift up the people across the Southeast who were impacted by this historic storm, raising over $5 million in just four days. But this work is just beginning. Our teams will continue to verify fundraisers as they come in and work promptly to get those funds out the door, as we work to supply fuel for helicopters bringing much-needed supplies to the towns around Asheville, fund repairs for the farms that saw their fall bounties washed away, and to help those who lost nearly everything as they begin to rebuild. If you need immediate funds to begin your own recovery journey or know someone who needs a hand getting started, visit https://lnkd.in/ejNEZtyd  to get started with a fundraiser today. If you'd like to help, visit https://lnkd.in/eupBq8gd to donate to GoFundMe.org's general Hurricane Relief fund, and we'll take care of the rest. This fund, which has already started granting out to those impacted by Hurricane Helene, is providing immediate relief grants through GoFundMe.org to people seeking help through verified GoFundMe fundraisers, and to nonprofit organizations on the ground providing relief.

    We're here to help #Helene

The National Hurricane Center says Hurricane #Helene is forecasted to make landfall in Florida today as a catastrophic Category 4 storm. Helene’s storm surge is predicted to be up to 20 feet along some parts of the coast. We know the devastation that awaits homes and property that lie in the path of a storm of this magnitude. That’s why we’re asking for your support as we prepare to help people in Florida and Georgia recover from what may be the strongest hurricane to hit the United States in over a year. Every $550 raised into GoFundMe.org's Hurricane Relief Fund represents a grant that will go directly to someone impacted and seeking help by fundraising for food, water, clothes, shelter and more in the wake of a hurricane. Every dollar raised, minus a transaction fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per donation, goes to fund these grants. This fund was created to provide direct relief to people in need after a hurricane. Your donation will ensure this fund can support as many people as possible as soon as a disaster strikes. GoFundMe.org sends critical cash grants directly to people who need help within 24 hours following a hurricane. You can help by simply sharing this post to your networks, or giving generously to this fund: https://gfme.co/3zHEUkL

We are thrilled to offer a second round of funding for the Welcome.US Veteran Sponsor Fund, designed for veteran and active duty military to support those sponsoring Afghan families they know who are establishing a new beginning in the United States. We could not have offered this opportunity without generous support from Google, ServiceNow, and GoFundMe.org whose far reaching impact have helped architect, fund, and mobilize our sponsor recruitment efforts. Our private sector partners and the Welcome.US CEO Council continue to step forward to find new methods to drive lasting impact. We also are excited to team up with No One Left Behind to recruit and mobilize sponsors from the active duty and veteran community in Seattle. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eScNkzQg

When wildfires hit Maui, Hawai'i local Kenna Reed wanted to provide trusted aid to the displaced 'ohana of Lāhainā and Kula quickly and directly. After her Google sheet of verified people who lost their homes and livelihoods went viral, she started a fundraiser to raise money to help these people. Reed turned to us to distribute the money. The fund has raised over $800,000 and continues to grow, turning 98.8% of the funds raised into grants for those displaced by the fires and seeking help on the GoFundMe platform. Grants have been distributed equitably as donations came in. In all, nearly 1,300 individual fundraisers received a minimum $400 grant from the Help Maui Rise fund. Today, Kenna and her amazing team at Help Maui Rise continue to provide compassionate and transparent support to families recovering from the wildfires, especially those who are most vulnerable. The fund is still active, as this work is far from over. People impacted by last year’s fires can apply for a grant, and those eligible will be issued grants based on their needs. Kenna and Help Maui Rise are this for the long haul, and we are, too. gofundme.com/helpmauirise
