We are so proud to acknowledge October’s GoBeyond award winners--the Novant Health-GoHealth team members and providers across North Carolina, and especially around Asheville, who pulled together to help their community get the vital healthcare they needed to recover from Hurricane Helene 💪. Many thanks to the entire team and a special shout-out:  to Cynthia Strohmeier and Nathan Wade who showed up ready to care for patients the day after the hurricane;   to Bernard Thoma and Christi Ricondo who ensured that the centers were undamaged and safe for staff and patients;   to providers Diedre Bass, Nathan Wade and Katharine Carrico, and team members Kim Shook, Christi Ricondo, Rachel Muench, Cynthia Strohmeier and Ty Penland who left their personal concerns to care for patients within days of the storm;   and finally, to our teams in Winston-Salem and Charlotte, who gathered and delivered much needed supplies to the centers so we could care for patients. Stacey Sager of ABC Eyewitness News interviewed Dr. Lynda Gerberg and the Trinagel family about the importance of our recent Autism Friendly Designations in the Northwell Health-Go Health pediatric urgent care centers on Long Island (Lake Success, Hewlett, Elwood locations).      In addition to addressing sensory overload in the centers and providing patients with private ways of indicating any special needs required during their visit, as part of the designation the Cohen Children's Medical Center pediatricians underwent special training to learn how to care for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.       We believe autism-friendly care should become the industry-standard and are thankful to Stacey for helping us raise awareness 🧡 .   #autismawareness #inclusivecare #GoHealth #urgentcare    Watch here, https://lnkd.in/e8j4wi6C

👏 Congratulations to our GoBeyond winners this month, Jason Thomas, Lead Radiologic Technologist with Northwell Health-Go Health and Will Jones, IT Field Technician. On his night off, arriving at the airport from vacation, Jason Thomas didn’t think twice about going right to the center to shoot an x-ray for a patient who was suffering from a week-long cough and fever. The patient was diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia and because of Jason’s dedication and kindness, started antibiotics and experienced a quick road to recovery. Thank you, Jason, for your professionalism and dedication to patient care. Will Jones exemplifies the very definition of going above and beyond. Frequently at the forefront of solving IT issues, he is always willing to jump in and help, working hard to get computer systems up and running without hesitation. And no matter how busy he is, Will always finds a moment to say a friendly word to his team members. Thank you, Will, for all you do!     #GoBeyond #GoHealth #urgentcare
